TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

Seeing Hadarai being sucked into the old man, Vaunea jumps into action. "Vaunea help. Grab foot. Pull out. Vaunea want help Hadarai." Vaunea leaps for Hadarai's foot, grabbing it just as he is sucked into the old man's ear canal.

[sblock='OOC']Poor guy is about to have Minotaur horns going through his ear. I feel sorry for him. That's gonna hurt.[/sblock]

[sblock='KenHood']

[sblock=Emral's Insight Check]Annie is terrified and overwhelmed. She wants to defend Swillwort from your group, which she perceives as criminal ruffians, but it has spiraled out of her control. Also, people neither call her the Space Cowboy nor the Gangster of Love.[/sblock]
Yes, but do they call her Morrice?[/sblock]

...just as he is sucked into the old man's ear canal.
Ah! I get a chuckle every time I visual it.
[/sblock]
*Schwup!*

Vaunea vanishes into Swillwort's ear.

[sblock=Hadarai and Reklaw]Hadarai feels a pair of strong hands grab his ankles, before the wax coating his feet forces him to slip from their grasp.

[sblock=Hadarai's Questions]
  • Can I send a ghost sound out the ear hole to our companions? You need line of sight to send it to a specific person, but you could try to make sound outside the ear (since you have line of sight on the 'outside'). You could climb to the lip(?) of the ear and try to poke out your head to get line of sight on your companions. 'Course, then you just say what you want to say.
  • Or perhaps use a piece of paper from my spellbook? You'll have to try it. Spellbooks cost a lot, though. You could 'write' on the paper with Prestidigitation.
  • Also, does that light follow me or is it stationary or is that a choice? (Lord Sessadore, help me out here.) If my understanding of the rules is correct, the light is stationary. You can cast it on an object, it moves with the object.
It's okay if you 'say' that your character has some minor items, like a little notebook and writing implements.
[/sblock]
You hear huffing and puffing coming from the exit. You see Vaunea climbing up into the ear canal.[/sblock]

[sblock=Vaunea (and Hadarai and Drivan)]Vaunea pulls herself into the ear canal, using the long tendrils (hairs?) for handholds.[/sblock]

[sblock=Emral and Finnian]Bad boys! Bad boys! Watcha gonna do?[/sblock]

[sblock=Inside the ear]Drivan turns towards the entrance, helping Vaunea finish climbing in and after she has gotten inside completely he sticks his head out and an arm out... Saying "Grab on, we're not sure where we are but it seems to be the problem place..."[/sblock]

Drivan's head and arm, distorted, ooze out of Swillwort's ear. He faces Finnian and Emral, then says, "Grab on, we're not sure where we are but it seems to be the problem place..."

Emral shrugs at Finnian, then moves towards the halfings ear. Before reaching in to follow his companions, he says to the nurse and the old man The old halfling has some kind of magical gate attached to his ear. We're going through the gate to try and help him. Sorry for the miscommunication. We're only here to help!

and with that, he reaches into the ear in the way the others have gone.

[sblock=ooc]Really? They said Overhaul. Also, his concept and history (both approved) work better for sorcerer than Wizard. I'll have to look into it. I mean, technically Emral isn't a Genasi, but a human who's been infused with the elements. To me, that says Sorcerer. And, as this is the one overhaul, I think it functions as permanent after this.[/sblock]

[sblock=Some Clarification]The nurse has fainted.

The grandpa archer, being a senile fellow, has left to wash out the boy's mouth with soap.

Swillwort is human, not a halfling.[/sblock]

[sblock=Overhaul]Yes, really. Check the name of the guy that proposed the Overhaul.

Also, sorcerors aren't approved for use as characters, yet.[/sblock]

And Emral vanishes into Swillwort's skull.

Finnian...?

*Ahem* On the overhaul, Ken is correct - we decided not to allow character class or race changes with the overhaul. Unfortunate, in Emral's case, but necessary - the discussion is in the thread Ken linked, if he linked the thread I think he linked. Basically the reasoning was that we, the judges, don't want to be put in the position of making the decision of whose overhaul 'aligns' with their character concept, and whose overhaul does not.

On the light cantrip, I believe Ken is correct. The target is an object or space, and since spaces don't move, if you cast it on a space it stays there. As Ken pointed out, you could cast light on an object and the light would follow the object.

Also, Ken, you have a knack for creating comedy. This is hilarious! :D[/sblock]

Drivan pulls himself back into the ear canal, plucking a few pieces of wax from his clothing as he does. "Well, now we're all nearly here why don't we follow this creature..."

He gestures towards the light orb and it dissapears, gesturing again he causes Hadarai's shield to light up. "Hope you don't mind Hadarai, but I figured you'd probably be close to the front..."

Drivan turns towards the direction that the mysterious cursing shape dissapeared, heading down the slope.

[sblock=OOC]I've got it... Drivan now has a glass ball in his pack... He can use mage hand to move the glass ball about after he's cast light on it, in other words... a floating light! Only problem would be that during combat it would take a move action to move the mage hand, right?[/sblock]

FInnian takes a look back when the boy and the old man go slackjawed and the boy lets loose a string of curses. Seeing the last of his companions pulled into Swillwort's ear, Finnian runs back to the porch desparately trying to grab hold of a leg or foot as it disappears into the old man's head.

[sblock='Reklaw']You can always light Vaunea's shield. She *will* be in the front.[/sblock]

"Vaunea light. Vaunea front." Vaunea rushes ahead of Drivan, making sure her shield and axe are firmly secure and wax-free. Once she assume the lead position, she begins walking around, searching the areas ahead for creatures.

[sblock='Perception']Do I need to roll a perception check here? If so, it is:
