Viridian Plague--Autumn's Enigma [Obscurity]

(OOC: 7 more hops to the upper landing and the shard. She can do five hops a round if she doesn't fail any Jump checks. The eye won't catch up to her at all if she keeps moving at full speed, so unless she fails two more checks on the way up, she should be fine.)

*Obscurity leaps up to the next platform, then the next, and the next, and the one after that, but then she slips and falls down to the first of the ten platforms, with the eye just behind now, though it will have to descend again to catch up to her lower height.*

(OOC: Oh look--you rolled a 1 :D)

ah! Obscurity will cast a web spell hopefully granting herself cover for quite a bit of the jumping ahead. Then she'll start up again.

*Obscurity's web springs up between two trees just behind her, blocking her way backwards, not that she needs to go that way anyway, while simultaneously providing full cover for more than half the ascent. She then immediately makes two quick and successful leaps, followed by another excellent jump and then another that falls just short, causing her to hang on the edge of the fourth platform. However, with the eye's shot blocked by the Web, she has plenty of time to continue as she sees fit.*

*Obscurity takes her time scrambling up to the fourth platform and then easily jumps to the fifth, then the sixth, and then on that treacherous seventh, falls again.*

(OOC: Another 1 :D Oh, forgot about damage from falling--she takes a total of 5)

*The Web still guards her back, so she starts again, with four good jumps followed by a near-fall, wherein she barely grabs the edge with her hand a moment before falling all the way onto the icy platform below. Pulling herself up to the fifth platform, she easily makes the next three jumps, leaving the protection behind the Web as she gets too high, and while jumping to the ninth platform, she loses her footing on the edge and nearly slips, grabbing hold. She's now within blasting range of the eye--she'll need to either pull herself up or, if that might be too slow, she can purposefully let herself drop to the 3rd platform below.*

*Obscurity pulls herself up and uses another Web to provide herself cover for the remainder of her ascent, choosing an angle with less protection this time so that it won't block her way up in case she falls. This proves to be a wise decision, as she leaps to the ninth of ten platforms before the next landing successfully, but then falls down to the fourth platform after another spat of bad luck.*

(OOC: Yep, another 1, 2 more Damage)

*She then takes the next two with ease, and the seventh clutching by the skin of her paws, but on the eighth, she has another spat of bad luck and falls down to the 2nd.*

(OOC: And another 1--4 Damage)

*Pulling herself up twice from near falls, she makes it back up to the seventh platform and then makes four quick, well-placed jumps to reach the next landing and the mirror shard.*

(OOC: Whew--finally! :D)

*She now has two choices in how to proceed--there's a long rickety branch with swinging logs that will try to knock her off from various angles, requiring jumping, tumbling, etc to avoid them, and there's some moving platforms requiring timed jumps to reach the other side.*

(ooc: 4 1s! ouch. at least they have little impact here.)

Obscurity decides that while it looks to be the more suicidal route, she is very adept at moving quickly along a more or less stable surface and elects to tumble past the swinging logs.
