D&D 5E Warlock of Yeenoghu/fiend patron

A Claw pact of Yeenoghu can only create claws as their (blade)pact weapon. These claws are considered magical and cause 1d4+ str damage.
A Claw of Yenoghu may use a multi-attack with his off hand as a rake if he hits with his primary attack.

Invocations

claws of yeenoghu, grow extremely sharp claws on each hand that cause 1d6 damage + str bonus and have the sharpness. Minimum CL level 5

superior claws of Yeenoghu, claws now deal 1d8+str damage. These claws are considered to have the vorpal quality. Minimum warlock level 11.

Voracious claws of Yeenoghu, claws now deal 1d10+ str damage and may have either the vorpal or wounding property. The claws reflect the difference in either a serrated claw or with an overly sharpened one.

Scales of Yeenoghu, creates shadowy scales that cover your body granting a base AC of 15+ half cha bonus if unarmoured. cast at will

Plates of Yeenoghu, creates shadowy plates that cover your body granting a base AC of 18+ half cha bonus if unarmored, cast at will. Min WL 5

This is a cool idea.

A warlock has so few invocations -- I'd imagine there is a better use for them than spending three to go from d4 to d10 (with an average damage gain of only +1/invocation).

For the armours, it would be more straightforward just to take 13+CHA, 15+CHA (though I would wait later than level 5 for that). Hope this helps!

Thanks, that does help.

As for 3 invocations he would really only be using one. he would trade up to the better one at higher levels. ie. claws go to superior then to voracious.

maybe at lvl 5 he could take scales at level 5 then plate at level 8. Or maybe just let him use plate at level 1. I hate the current set up where you have to multi class to be a good blade warlock.

invocation

bones of yeenoghu, cast at will, causes bones to erupt from the casters body creating a hard protective bone armor. Upon casting the WL loses 1d10 hit points that may be replenished by the Dark One's Blessing before they are added as temporary HP's. The armor class of this armor is 18 +1/4 WL levels up to a maximum of +5 based on charisma modifier). The armor grants advantage on intimidation checks but disadvantage on all other interaction charisma based checks.
