Legend
I can remember a fair number of adventures with encounters in rivers, lakes, swamps, on coasts, etc, but mostly I like the Tritons for the same reason I like Gith. Neither is overwhelming mechanicly, and both alow an alien mindset that can be leaned on for interesting roleplay.

Oh hey. Don’t get me wrong. I have zero problems with tritons. The question was why aren’t they getting more loving here and my answer was that they don’t really fit in a lot of campaigns.

Or at least that seems to be the perception I’m seeing.

Then again I’ve never seen anyone even propose playing a goth character. So maybe it’s just my own blinders.

Heretic of The Seventh Circle
They’re from Eberron. Psionic humans merged with spirits of the Astral plane.
Not quite. The Quori are from the plane of dreams, which has no direct equivalent in the great wheel.
Strong disagree here. The more playable races the better, for me. They're just fun!

That said, I think 31 are too many for a single campaign setting. A DM and the players should work together to figure out which races are right for the story and setting they want to play in.

I find I usually wind up only using 6 - 8 races in my campaigns.
I have a couple settings where I’ve used a small selection, but otherwise I’m very into worlds where intelligent species are as diverse as species of birds.
