What Do YOU Want The Future of TTRPGs To Look Like?
More choice in how you want to play. You like hardcover books, go for it! You like pdfs, go for it! You like VTT xyz, go for it! You want to play theater of the mind in person, do tactical battles in person, use a tech invested play table in person, you want to do that online, go for it! Options!
We're currently playing mostly online, sometimes we play in person when we have the time and we can get everyone together. I really like pdfs/modules these days, another person in my game absolutely prefers physical books. We all can have our own way.

People talking about D&D having less dominance in the industry are dreaming. It's the backbone of the industry, it's essentially where pnp RPGs started and unless it's owners absolutely mess up (like with 4e) and not make it D&D anymore for most players, that leaves options for others to be more D&D (like Paizo with PF1e) to fill that hole. But back then, it was still D&D dominating the industry, it just temporarily had a different name and publisher...
I think everyone benefits from a strong D&D backbone, a new supply of players that possibly want to move to something else, tools that they can benefit from (VTTs), etc. The pnp RPG industry is imho bigger then ever, with tools more easily accessible then ever for anyone that want to publish something. And for people to actually get it in a format they want.
Where I think most pnp RPG publishers still fall short is in the VTT sphere, they mostly either only produce for one VTT or for none.
