The Fighter's HP at first level is 10+Constitution modifier. So that's a 10 minimum unless they put an 8 in there for some reason. Not sure where you got that 6 or 8 thing.

By thinking not about the "at first level" but the standard "6 per level". Whoops!

Most of it still holds, though. In the tavern brawl, he's the one left standing.

Please, don't insult folks.
Most apprentices arent adventurers, but these apprentices are ...

still apprentices.
Sigh.

A 1st-level character is inexperienced in the adventuring world, although he or she might have been a soldier or a pirate and done dangerous things before.

Starting off at 1st level marks your character’s entry into the adventuring life.

but these apprentices are ... fully competent professionals in their class are indeed apprentice adventurers. On that last point, we can at least agree, even if we are never going to see eye-to-eye on the first part.

You invented that word "professional" out of thin air, for the purpose of disinforming people.

5e has never called a Level 1 character a "professional".

Indeed, "apprentice adventures" presumes there are teachers who are still teaching them how to adventure.

I guess "Apprentice Tier" is a little bit schizoid that way. OT1H, a 1st level PC has abilities a lot of other people, even if quite worldly, wouldn't, and many of those abilities are typically the result of dedicated study. OTOH, they're the Zeroes in the sacred 0-to-Hero paradigm.

In other words. college.
