I am looking to find out the highest AC that a character can get by class.

Wizard's material only. No Psionics plz.
Code:
		A	B	C	D	E
Base 10	10	10	10	10
Size 0	-1	-1	-1	0
Dexterity	0	2	2	2	2
Armor 9	13	13	13	13
Shield	3	7	7	7	7
Natural	5	5	5	5	5
Deflection	0	5	5	5	5
Cover 0	0	0	10	10
Dodge 0	0	0	0	0
Haste 0	0	4	4	4
Total AC	27	41	45	55	56

This is for a cleric that has full plate (living metal) +1 w/ heavy fortification and large shield (living metal) +1 w/death ward

PS

Is there any way to make the table that I have stay in the form that I want it in without using the code tags?

Seems that i have used something else in the past that did this, but its not listed and its been a while since I used tags...

Well, clearly anything that any class does will be surpassed by a wizard with the shapechange, mage armor, cat's grace (maximized empowered), haste and shield. Throw in iron body for the 50/+3 DR and you've got a target! Add in the dodge feat, tumble rank 5 and full defence, just for kicks.

Depending on the form, you could have the use of an amulet of natural armor, a ring of protection and a ring of force shield (or even a plain old +5 shield).

Lessee...

Say, Iron Golem body, that's a humanoid shape, so we keep the items...

Base AC: 30
From Cat's Grace: +4 (9 dex goes to 16)
From Bracers of Armor: +8
From Amulet of Natural Armor: +5
From Ring of Protection: +5
From Ring of Force Shield: +2

That gives us a grand total of 54.

With the dodge feat, that goes to 55 vs one.
And in full tumble defense, that goes to 61.
With the Shield spell, that goes to 68.

But... 1/2 dragon 1/2 solar...

Base AC: 39
From Cat's Grace: +3 (20 dex goes to 27)
From Bracers of Armor: +8
From Amulet of Natural Armor: +5
From Ring of Protection: +5
From Ring of Force Shield: +2

That gives us a grand total of 62.

With the dodge feat, that goes to 63 vs one.
And in full tumble defense, that goes to 69.
And with the Shield spell, we get to 76!

Aren't spell fun?

I'm glad Jairaimi nipped this pointless exercise in the bud. ;)

Guys: If you're trying to find Smackdowns, or min/max stuff, at least read the ONE thread that has been collected by Jairaimi exactly for that purpose. :p

PS, besides there are so... many errors in that thread it's not even funnie...

Almost every single post there has a mistake...

And like I said in the post nothing but WOTC and no psionics...

Everything in the AC Smackdown is from WotC sources, anyway. If you don't want to use Psionics, though, it's not that hard to go through and remove the few Psionic-related things.

So, take out the 2 levels of Psion, the Psionic Dodge feat, and the 3 psionic items, and you still have a character with an AC of around 122.

It's not a very big issue in those ideas for maximized wizard AC, but Amulet of natural armor doesn't stack with creatures natural armor (which is in case of iron golem is 22)

Again JK

No psionics and nothing but official wotc books... No Dragon either...

A lot of that AC is psionics or other than wotc material...

Also stats are all 18... have +5 Tome/Manual and BS'd effects from aging...

Take out all non core, class book and FR books and you have an AC that is gonna be greatly reduced.

Not to menation that the cheracter would be good for nothing but AC...

My plan was to see what people get their AC to with a PLAYABLE character...
