Which d20 books need writing?

Just thought this would be an interesting topic for discussion. There's a lot of d20 stuff out there, lots of it falls into familiar catagories - there are tons of monster books and splatbooks. What hasn't been done, or hasn't been done well enough to warrant doing it again?

Frankly, I don't think there's enough good 32 page adventures. Where do you lot think the nect swathe of d20 products that don't just rehash old ground are going to be about?

I think some old ground needs re-hashing. I've seen plenty of posts on this and other forums where someone asks for a simple castle or some such thing. There's nothing wrong with going back to the basics.

But I agree about the 32 page adventure format. No such thing as too many of those.

Them short modules can really come in handy when the DM is having a bout of writer's block and needs something to keep the players occupied. I agree, we need more of them.

IMHO there are too many monster books because there aren't any culture books. If someone wants to write about a strange and alien culture / civilization / whatever, they seem to think they need to make up a new race to life in it. Makes worlds crowded and silly, and promotes in-game racism.

I'd like a bunch of sourcebooks on extrapolations of real-world cultures to include D&D magic, but be true to the spirit of their belief system and/or way of life.

Path of the Psion: A book by FFG that does for psions and psychic warriors what Path of Shadow, etc... have done for the other classes.

Legendary Paths: Detailed look at making, using, campaign effects, colleciton of, additions, revisions for 3.5, of the legendary classes from FFG.

Eternal Champion d20: Takes the concept of the eternal champion, the comrade, the sword, chaos, law, etc... and focues all that plane travelling into a game where champions of different eras, times and dimensions can meet one another.

Domains of Divinity: Something to collection, updated, and introduce more domains for clerics. Something along the lines of more prestige domains as well.

d20 Reference Books: When books come out that are reference work to a setting, include the d20 stats in an index or appendix or something. Fans of the game will enjoy it, others can skip it.

I'd suggest starting with "A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe," from Expeditious Retreat Press. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for, or at least a start.

Solitaire adventures - why don't any companies make these? There may not be a big market for such, but there is definitely a niche that someone should fill. TSR used to make solo modules and they had an entire series of one player modules as well. That's something else I've yet to see for D20.

I second this.
