[WoT Adventure] Turn 1

Sirsei takes a deep breath, waiting for the men to dash after the other trollocs. It won't do to have trollocs in Caemlyn. They must have a hideout somewhere. One of these men had better follow them.

She also silently curses herself for her ineffective tactic. Next time, she'll light a fire in the trolloc's face. And what was the nasty beast carrying? It couldn't be good, whatever it was. I wish Lila were here. This wouldn't have happened.

Frowing, Sirsei makes herself release saidar . She looks around and realizes that she and Shalimar are the only women still standing here and it wouldn't do to have people already suspecting she is an Accepted, much less an Aes Sedai.

Therefore, she lets out a sob and collapses on the floor, pretending to be frightened. She have that people will assume she was standing there in abject terror unable to look away, rather than beind the source of the fire, which was small. (Bluff check, I guess)

Pedron

"Blood and bloody ashes!" Pedron curses. "What were those things?" He thinks he heard the word "Trolloc," but he's not certain. Aren't they supposed to live around the Blight? When did Caemlyn develop a Trolloc infestation?

He bends to retrieve his knife, reviewing in his mind what has just happened. Monsters hiding in the shed, check. Bunch of heroic fools rushing to attack, check. After the shock, his mind is slowly coming to accept the monsters. As for the bloody heroes coming to the rescue, well, Light-blinded fools are always doing stupid things. But where had that fire come from, and what about the light? He supposes the thing might have knocked over a lamp he hadn't seen, and maybe the other one had lit a torch... Either that, or what, the One Power? If that's the case, then I really am in trouble.

"Uh, thanks, by the way," he mutters as he waits to see if the others intend to follow the beasts. There's no way he's going after them alone, and definitely not with just his knives. Why should I go after them at all? he wonders, but he does feel a need to do something.

Jain Hadlin

Heroes and trollocs in Caemlyn great just what i need!

"Somebody call the flamin' guards!" Jain gives a look like he wants too throw up.

"I guess I must be the biggest fool in the lot of ya"

"I can't believe I'm doing this!"

Jain sets off at a run hoping to keep the trollocs in sight without being heard or spotted himself.

[ooc: move silent at the very least i guess. This could be a very short adv. for Jain]

"In answer to your question, those were trollocs. I have seen them before while living in Sheinar. That was very odd behavior, I wonder how they got here, how they got past the Sheinarian border forts."

This is not good did something happen in Sheinar that let them get through? There is undoubtably more of them somewhere. At the very least we must deal with the two that escaped.

"Did anyone see what was in that sack? I think it may be a good idea to try to find out what it was, Trollocs just don't appear randomly, and it might be a clue as to why they did appear here."
her brow scrunches of its own accord wondering what to do next.

Whats next to do... yes see if anyone was injured, I may not be great at it, but I do know how to heal with the power. I really need to go after those trollocs as well, we cannot have them running around loose

"Is anyone injured?" she says while gesturing at the light she was concentrating on which winked out with the motion. She remained holding the source because she really did not want to give it up convincing herself that it was better to hold it in case mor trollocs jumped out of the woodwork, and to heal anyone, flimsy excuses, but they let her hold onto thet power for longer.

she turns to look and sees Jain running out into the night after the trollocs.
"Jain," she screams at his fleeing back, "do not go alone, wait for Yuri and Sirsei and me, and whoever else is going with us."

Pedron's day gets interesting

There was no mistaking it this time. The woman had waved her hand and the light had vanished. It had to be the One Power.

"You're--" he cuts himself short. You do not just accuse a woman of being Aes Sedai, even though she has to be. He licks his lips. "I don't think the Trollocs hurt anyone, but the bouncer put a good dent in that fellow's skull." He points to the man in white.

As the two men start running after the fleeing beasts, Pedron makes a quick decision: Aes Sedai or Trollocs? All in all, the stories about Trollocs are a lot less frightening. He sheaths one of his knives, keeping the other in hand but concealed in the cloak he was wearing to ward off the chill of the innyard. Then he follows the Borderlander before the Aes Sedai can say anything more to him.

While it's impossible to sneak at a full run, as soon as the man slows down, Pedron slows down as well and does his best to stay out of sight. He has no wish to be spotted by the Trollocs, or by the soldier if he can avoid it. The brief encounter's about as much as he wants for one night. He gives some thought to following for a little ways, then breaking off and heading back to the inn. Two things stop him. First, he doesn't want to run into the Aes Sedai again, especially not if he has to lie about "losing" the other men in the chase. Second, there's something both calming and exhilarating at doing what he does best, slipping into the background, going unnoticed. As long as he plays to his strengths, all should be well.

Suddenly shaking from the shock, Ashrem stumbled back against the shed and with an unsteady hand, sheathed his sword. Blood and Ashes! I could have been killed! What was I thinking?!

He looked down at the now dead trolloc at his feat and grimaced as he relived the attack again in his head. He rubbed at his arms to smooth out the goose bumps. There was fire. I know I remember seeing it. He looked at the trolloc's burned leg. Where did that come from? A torch maybe?

Ash spared a moment looking around for a torch or broken lamp. Did I do that?

Quickly he came to his senses. Two other trollocs had made an escape and it looked like Yuri and the man with the daggers where giving chase. Not thinking, Ash hurried after them. As he ran along quietly, searching the darkness for signs of passage or evidence of other monsters in the night, he was deep in thought again.

What am I doing? I'm no flaming warrior out of children's tales to go off chasing trollocs and the Light knows what. As he caught up to the borderlander and the other man he gripped his sword in a white knuckled grip. But burn me! Those things tried to take my head! I'm not about to let such an insult go unpunished. Neither by man nor...thing.. alike

[OOC: Make Hide and Move Silently checks as needed. Ash is willing to fight, but if he is reduced to less than 4 hit points, he will withdraw and Fight Defensively. He will not take risks and will not knowingly provoke an Attack of Opportunity or get within striking range of more than one opponent. Use his Dark One's Own Luck feat only if he is about to die or will land the killing blow on the last trolloc.]

Noble Intentions

For Children's stories, they bleed quite well. The Borderlander certainly lived up to his countrymen's reputation. Lord Tomas cleaned off his blade on anything handy, restoring the polish to the metal. Two ran away. Andor is not my country, but it is my duty as a Nobleman to protect commoners. I will joiin the others in taking care of the other two creatures.

Ignoring the yammering of the two women, Lord Tomas speaks over them, "We cannot let them run free where they could harm innocent commoners. Any of you with skill at arms, follow me!" Lord Tomas heads out after the Borderlander...

Wrapping her cloak around her to keep out the chill, Shalimar races to catch up to Jain and Yuri, not an easy task when your as short as Shalimar.
Burn them for not waiting, it would be just my luck to catch up with them after they are already dead. They are making this much more difficult then it has to be. If we followed together, well 5 are a bigger threat to two trollocs then 5 seperate people. Not to mention the fact there were certainly more wherever this chase would end up leading.

She had been running to catch up for over a minute by now, through the darkness tryig to find the others, completely alone with her thoughts.

Maybe this was not such a good idea. Lila Sedai will certainly have something to say about this, and I do not doubt it will be pleasant. But I cannot leave Jain and Yuri to follow them alone, can I? Jains not really a warrior. If I do not find anything soon, I supouse I should retrace my steps to the Inn, at the least I can heal that man that was injured.

Still unsure of what to do, she keeps running in the direction she believes Yuri to have taken.

Ashrem crept up behind the warrior and the other man. "Do you see anything?", he asked to no one in particular. Looking at Yuri he added, "That was a trolloc?" Ashrem pulled his long coat closed to keep out the cold night air and to supress a shiver not entirelly born from the cold.

"Did either of you get a look at what they were carrying?" Ashrem said as he gripped his sword hilt and cast about nervously. Where is my bloody courage now?
