WotC WotC hinting heavily that Tuque Games D&D game will be revealed at the Game Awards Show

Arcade game and D&D video game have no place being in the same sentence, never mind being combined into a single game. D&D does not belong with certain genres, it just doesn't.

You haven't played Shadows over Mystara, or even heard of it before today, so this statement is pretty woefully ignorant.

No, the gameplay wouldn't look quite like that. If the animations are as jerky as they were in trailer, however, I'm going to scream.

It looks jerky because they were stabilizing the image on a specific element on screen. The character's face, their weapons, that sort of thing. It's an usual way to watch video game so it looks weird and aweful. It'd probably look better with a standard camera.

Not by much but at least not barf inducing...

That's what I assumed. Maybe the game will be good, but it's just too early to say.

That's sort of where I am. My guess is that they didn't have the budget to make a pre-rendered cinematic trailer so they used in-game footage, but from an angle and zoom distance the game engine was not designed to took good from. Which is more an indictment of "Who thought this was a good idea and who gave the green light to let it happen" than the quality of the final game.

Seriously Tuque Studios is the game company they bought, over this protype? Yuck.

Larian Studios would have been the smart purchase or Owlcat Games, not this...this bitter disappointment.

They should have spared viewers and showed some BG3 game footage instead.

We did warn you, they bought Tuque for a very simple reason: they where cheep. And you get what you pay for.

And they where obviously never going to double up on another CRPG.
