Probably not as I didn't buy it with DM content either. 3.5E is enough to fill my D20 needs.
I did buy Shadowrun though. A complete game for $60.

Lets pretend that D&D Next starts to grow on you, and you find yourself having a change of heart to the point you honestly think it's the d20 game for you: Would you be willing to drop the $50 on the PHB, even if it contains no DM info at all?

5E would have go grow a lot more on me if it costs $100 or even $150 to start playing instead of $50-$60, especially when I am not fully convinced that I will like it.
And, by that same logic, would you buy 5e even if all the rulebooks were $30 each?
