D&D 5E What Campaign Setting(s) Do You Want To See in 5E?

In order:
  1. Planescape
  2. Eberron
  3. Dark Sun
  4. Birthright
  5. Dragonlance

That is all. No interest in generic settings like FR/Greyhawk, and never really got into Al-Qadim, Spelljammer or Ravenloft. While I don't mind the latter two for one shots, I don't really need a whole campaign setting for that kind of thing.

I would buy the World of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Eberron, and Dark Sun World for sure. I don't think we are getting these but I would buy them. I would also like to see a combined PlaneScape/SpellJammer setting uniting these properties together using the Astral Sea and Elemental Chaos over the concepts of arcane space and the phlogiston.

I would probably also buy a Ravenloft/Shadowfell setting book if it was written with a good deal on narrative and the player perspective.

It's refreshing to read through this thread: I'm getting to know settings I wasn't award of! So much good from being away from this hobby so much!

I too would like to see Spelljammer and Planescape merged rather than be competing planar models. Spelljammer's always been a favorite of mine, and I wish it ever got the mature presentation that Planescape got.

one of the Magic worlds/settings

I know zero about any of the Magic settings, but I'm under the impression they have a rich setting/backstory and wouldn't mind seeing them adapted to a D&D setting.

And while I can't say I want an actual re-run of Birthright, I really want some domain building and mass combat rules like it had. I loved how it created a political arena more than a bean counting exercise, and the card-based units were the perfect middle ground between the overly-detailed mass combat of Battle System and the overly-generalized War Machine of Basic D&D. Just make all the bloodlines and Regency powers optional, 'cause I won't use them.
