Ahsoka - SPOILERS

pukunui

Legend
It’s something to do with the Mortis gods. The statue of the Father was pointing at the volcano thing that Baylan was looking at.

I note that the statue of the Daughter had broken away.

I think there’s still something there. Maybe Ahsoka is right where she needs to be because the Daughter needs to stop the Mother (or whatever).

Hence why Morai doesn’t appear until the very end. (I missed that it was her at first.)

Perhaps the mystery will be revealed in season 2.

I watched it twice and I thought the statue was just a weathered Nightsister Mother.

If it's the mortis gods statues then the Abeloth theory (or a being inspired by her) is back in play.

Wonder if it is the Mother?

That was definitely a statue of the Father, with a statue of the Son to the right and a broken down statue (which would have to be the Daughter) on the left. And the statue of the Father was pointing at that volcano (or whatever it is) in the distance.

I'm guessing that if we get a season 2, it will focus (in part) on Ahsoka and Sabine trying to stop Baylan. It would appear that Shin is going to set herself up as the leader of the bandits. I presume season 2 will also jump back to the original galaxy to follow Hera and Ezra's exploits against Thrawn.

The zombie stormtroopers were fun and a great callback to both the Nightsisters from the Clone Wars resurrecting their dead sisters to fight Grievous and co as well as to the Legends novels like Death Troopers.

EDIT: Also, who wants to bet that Chris Perkins shouted "Green flame blade!" while watching this episode?

You're right looks like the father.

So it's either the son or mother most likely calling to Baylan.

Liked Sabines blaster and Lightsaber combo. She kinda sucks as a Jedi but deft hand with blaster and demolitions. Level 1 Jedi?

The Father, Son, and Daughter are all dead. It must be someone / something else.

However, I think the fact that the Daughter's statue has crumbled while the other two have not is some kind of hint ... because of Ahsoka's connection with her. I don't think this is just wishful thinking. Morai didn't appear until after Ahsoka said she felt like she was right where she was meant to be.

I wonder if Ahsoka will avail herself of Huyang's copious lightsaber supplies to build a replacement second saber and, if so, whether the blade will still be white.

Yeah, definitely 1st level Jedi. I mean, so far she's only managed to pull her lightsaber to her, as well as give Ezra and extra push. Pretty simple Jedi things.

I liked the exchange between Ezra and Huyang (even if it made Sabine sad), but I have to say I was a tiny bit disappointed that Ezra built himself a new lightsaber after telling Sabine he didn't need his old one. It would have been fun to see more of his Force-powered martial arts style. Perhaps he'll make use of it next season.

Both can be built in SWSE lol. Sabine Soldier 7/Elite Trooper/1 Jedi 1 or 3.

I forget the force tradition using martial arts but that's Ezra. Could also be artistic license on screen. Luke used a force kick after all in RotJ;).

It seemed very deliberate in the previous episode. Sabine offered Ezra his old lightsaber back. He replied something like "You keep it. I don't need it." He then proceeded to use a combination of martial arts and Force powers (including using his hands to block Shin's lightsaber without touching it). It seemed like he'd developed some new way of using the Force to fight without a lightsaber. But here he is building himself a new one. Ah well.

Options are good. Sabine needed his old lighsaber more. She can't block a lightsaber with her hands.

He's had 13 odd years to develop stuff
Sabine didn't and Ahsoka didn't want to teach her due to fear/anger issues and she didn't embrace it anyway.

I am guessing that next season the person most likely to build another lightsaber is actually Sabine, given the way that scene played out. Also it would be exceedingly strange if the artist in the group never made her own saber, given that lightsabers are supposed to be expressions of their owner, and that the first Mandalorian Jedi also had a unique saber.

Good point.
