More than good enough & quite a few people seem to have said similar already. You are the one who seems to be saying otherwise. I only told you about TM generally taking the time to show & breakdown the math so you can get enough numbers & understanding to see how you can calculate similar.
I meant for the Dex Fighter, as opposed to using a Rapier.

Fighter doesn't get a lot from Nick, as it doesn't have any add-ons to the damage. It's just a 1d4.

Rangers can get Hunters mark.
Rogues get a second chance to land sneak attack.
Barbarian wouldn't mind it either, with +rage damage.
Druids can get Font of Moonlight.
Warlocks can do spirit shroud.

A simple way to add DPR to the rogue class would be to give them Extra Attack at level 5. Barbarians, Fighters, Monks, Paladins, and Rangers (ya know, the other martial classes) all get it, so why not Rogues? The actual damage from the attack won’t add a ton of damage, but having a second chance to do Sneak Attack (in case you miss on your first attack) should up the DPR a bit.
I like this suggestion. It has symmetry.

It gets 1d6+Dex with TWF, and can combine that with Vex to give itself Advantage, so it's considerably more than a d4.
You can't use Nick and Vex on the same attack. Vex also needs to hit.

But I guess the fighter doesn't have a regular use of his bonus action, so can just TWF with that.

Hmm... would TWF + Crossbow Expertise be 1d6 + Dex + Dex?

how much of a damage boost for them would it be if a subclass increased the rogue's sneak attack die from a d6 to d8?
By an average of 10 * chance to hit at least once at level 19.
Or at lower levels about by 1 per 2 levels round up * chance to hit at least once.

With steady aim and a nick weapon, your chances to hit at least once is probably higher than 90%.

With steady aim and advantage, the increase is minimal, as chances are already very high. But yes, extra attack at least on some rogue classes would be great. That would actually be a perfect level 6 feature for those subclasses.
