It was but I don't think it's suitable with current mechanics since it's so much easier to get sneak on every attackThe Short Sword of Subtlety I think was another one.

I meant for the Dex Fighter, as opposed to using a Rapier.More than good enough & quite a few people seem to have said similar already. You are the one who seems to be saying otherwise. I only told you about TM generally taking the time to show & breakdown the math so you can get enough numbers & understanding to see how you can calculate similar.
Fighter doesn't get a lot from Nick, as it doesn't have any add-ons to the damage. It's just a 1d4.I meant for the Dex Fighter, as opposed to using a Rapier.
I like this suggestion. It has symmetry.A simple way to add DPR to the rogue class would be to give them Extra Attack at level 5. Barbarians, Fighters, Monks, Paladins, and Rangers (ya know, the other martial classes) all get it, so why not Rogues? The actual damage from the attack won’t add a ton of damage, but having a second chance to do Sneak Attack (in case you miss on your first attack) should up the DPR a bit.
It gets 1d6+Dex with TWF, and can combine that with Vex to give itself Advantage, so it's considerably more than a d4.Fighter doesn't get a lot from Nick, as it doesn't have any add-ons to the damage. It's just a 1d4.
You can't use Nick and Vex on the same attack. Vex also needs to hit.It gets 1d6+Dex with TWF, and can combine that with Vex to give itself Advantage, so it's considerably more than a d4.
I meant in the same turn, using a Shortsword and Scimitar for example. You can't use Nick and Vex on the same attack. Vex also needs to hit.
Not sure. Will check in the morning.Hmm... would TWF + Crossbow Expertise be 1d6 + Dex + Dex?
By an average of 10 * chance to hit at least once at level 19.how much of a damage boost for them would it be if a subclass increased the rogue's sneak attack die from a d6 to d8?
With steady aim and advantage, the increase is minimal, as chances are already very high. But yes, extra attack at least on some rogue classes would be great. That would actually be a perfect level 6 feature for those subclasses.A simple way to add DPR to the rogue class would be to give them Extra Attack at level 5. A small amount. Instead of doing 20 damage, you'd do like 24 (but then every Cunning Strike cost would feel even worse).how much of a damage boost for them would it be if a subclass increased the rogue's sneak attack die from a d6 to d8?
