Once our group is finished with my girlfriend's The Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign, I'm going to propose running in a different system. Right now, it's a toss up between The One Ring and Shadow of the Weird Wizard. I'm also on and off working on my own abomination of a system that more closely captures the experience I had playing AD&D rather than the rules as written.

Either way, if I'm ever at a table with 5.whatever in play, it won't be me running it.

My current Ravenloft game is reaching its end, so when it does we are doing Eve of Ruin with the 24 rules and 14 options that haven't been converted. The game I play in has requested a break from fantasy and is running Cyberpunk Red.

Brave tackling Vecna! Hope your Cyberpunk RED goes well. I love the story beats section that Pondsmith wrote – top notch stuff for any GM.

We're running Venca as a celebration of all the various campaigns both DMs have run. Everyone is picking their favorite PC and I'm incorporating elements of our various campaigns into it (between the two of us, we've run Realms, Eberron, Ravenloft and Spelljammer). Part of the group also played Die Venca Die in 2e, so we have a tolerance for railroads.

I admit I've never played Cyberpunk (and I'm only vaguely familiar with 77) but that does feel like a nice change of pace.

I have no plans to play the 2024 version at this time. I had been planning to get the 2024 DMG, but after seeing what's changed in the 2024 PHB, I will definitely want to thumb through it before I make a final decision.

When all three books are finally out, I may give it another look.

I think that we may move to the new rules once current games complete. I'm not sure because we've done nothing but play other games recently (Dagger Heart and Feng Shui 2 starting this week!) but I imagine that will be what people want to do. But nothing has been decided and the DMs for our two games have no plans to get the new books. So I think our group is a mess.
