I can't wait for the dueling hair episode.Whatever happened with that Sybok tease in season 1? And Captain Angel is still out there somewhere.

Two call backs - a shuttle isn't big enough, we need to use a starship.Oh ho, we have a name drop for Matt Decker (TOS: "The Doomsday Machine")!
The first two seasons were good. Then it went downhill rapidly. Once the time travel happened, it not only didn't feel like Star Trek to me, it was very much not a good show in my opinion.I really liked Discovery. I think it did a good job capturing the optimism of Star Trek. Quibble all you want about the implausibility of a mycellium network spore drive and all that. It still FELT like Star Trek to me.
In addition to the story not being very good once the time travel happened, what really drove me crazy was Michael's expression(not expressions). She had one expression which was abject horror as if her life and/or the universe was ending. She used it when her boyfriend did something wrong, when she was late getting somewhere and time was running out, and also when the universe was actually ending. that expression got old fast.I know there are Discovery fans out there, but a lot of episodes just seemed boring to me. There was a lot of pointless filler all around. I found few of the characters even likable. That didn't mean it was all bad- Janeway's coffee obsession was always good for a chuckle, even if her relationship with the Prime Directive was questionable at best.
Oh and Kate's delivery of that final line to the evil clown. "I'm afraid!" "I know!!!!"
I wondered that as well. It's not like the Gorn could have easily explained it to her via yes/no questions. So this Gorn is different and is helping Ortegas survive (and overcome her trauma)?
I like that this episode humanizes the Gorn a bit.
How do the humans know how to use Gorn technology so easily?
I think that learning controls is much easier than building/repairing the tech.I mean, given that Ortegas has already been shown flying a Gorn fighter, her figuring out how to use a Gorn radio is far less surprising of a feat.
Jerry Rigging is making something cheaply. Temu merchandise is Jerry Rigged. Jury Rigging is improvising/makeshift repairing. They are similar, but different.Interesting. It auto corrected to Jerri Rigging when the actual term is Jerry Rigging - but I guess the first is funnier.
Interesting. I loved the three far future seasons. It felt MORE like Star Trek to me. I was just sad that the seasons were so short and we didn’t get to see more of that far future. The first two seasons were good. Then it went downhill rapidly. The upcoming Starfleet Academy show is set in that far future, your wish is granted!Interesting. I loved the three far future seasons. It felt MORE like Star Trek to me. I was just sad that the seasons were so short and we didn’t get to see more of that far future.
