Qawasha says to the man in the Crystal Ball,

"We cannot read Zagmira's journal. It will help us to further her goals if you could translate it for us. He holds the journal up to the crystal. Also, we have found teleportation circles but do not know their purpose. Do you or the does the journal have some way of deciphering where they may lead?"

Qawasha didn't trust the creature in the crystal but, perhaps, in the interest of furthering its goals, it would help them delve deeper towards their own goals.


@Kobold Stew Let's see if we can get any info from the crystal. I assume your character can't read Thayan? Qawasha did ask Miss Imogen to try to translate the book already.

The group carefully checked all four ends of the cross-shaped room. They had arrived at the west end (Qawasha assured them that he could still sense cardinal directions) but when they had stopped holding their entrance door open, it had closed, and left nary a sign of its presence, and no clear method of ever opening it again. Then they had checked the north, south, and finally east end of the tomb. All three held round sigil-laden teleportation circles. No other exits were evident.

The face in the crystal ball said to Qawasha, "I can transzlat de jzournal, but I will not unlesz you command me to do it. You muszt attune to de cryztal to command me. I will, however, anzwer your questions aboud de teleport czircles without command. zShow me one of dem; any one."

In Chultan language Myrral comments
"Maybe it is not a good idea to talk to Thay necromancer. With the circle runes, some of them may come through. Or the whole army of orcs and wizards for all we know."
In common
"Let me check the sarcophagus. I'm not sure we can return, I mean, we had to go through fire, water and earth to get here. Maybe this is 'air' chamber and we need to fly over the sarcophagus?"
Myrral moves to the wall and moves over the sarcophagus without stepping on the platform. He tries to be quiet, but is checking every now and then if the statues are tracking him.

OOC: Move to the end of the chamber NOT stepping on the platform, circling first and only then going above the area. Roll whatever you feel is appropriate

Qawasha looks nervous at the idea of attuning to an intelligent item whose soul purpose is to forward the Thayan agenda. Afterall, the Thayans use necromancy as a tool. The Thayan wizard in the Ubtao's Heart was an undead.

With a look of resolve, Qawasha put the crystal ball into his bag.

Only the closest of the statues paid any mind to Myrral as he circled the dais while Qawasha stuffed the crystal ball into his satchel.

OOC: @Neurotic you mean leap over? Or can you fly in some way that I've forgotten?

Myrral picked a corner and climbed up and diagonally over the dais and sarcophagus. He made little noise, and the terracotta warriors ignored him entirely. Qawasha considered doing the same, but it looked like a lot of work for litte gain. The vantage didn't give Myrral any greater insight, and nothing interesting or dangerous occurred.

The statues did not notice your movements across the wall. Only when people move across the floor.

She and Weed make their way to one of the circles, hoping others will follow.
