I'm not sure if I had Bastiaan hint at the idea of Taint. I'll go back and reread that part.

Regardless, I'm sure that The Hermit's journal would have something to say on the matter and Caerth would have written a warning down for the characters, at the very least.

Okay, so no where in the conversation do I write the word 'taint'. But, Bastiaan did note that the lands around demiplane have been infected with the corruption of The Gloom and that the demiplane is a dangerous place that corrupts all who enter.

As I noted earlier, I forgot to use the rules when you guys were fighting the extraplanar spider and its allied web ooze at the ruins of the Temple of Bogphin.

So, I'm going to write a post with Aureus noting some important details from The Hermit's journal.

So would it be fair to have Maur @Neurotic to have studied the appropriate spell to protect us?

Note that you have several gems available but no pure jade. There is a Red Garnet that is worth 160 gp. That would be valuable enough to use assuming the PCs can purify it first. It will only last half as long, however. So, 3-1/2 days of protection for that one gem once purified.

For the record, I counted the spells in the book and we have 39 free vellum pages.
