Two Openings in long running 3.5 PBeM

Glen Gildor Adventures, running since February 2001, is looking to add two new players. I am looking for mature, strong role-players with solid writer skills. We have four PCs currently and I am looking to add two more than would join shortly as a team. The two new PCs will be pursing the...

    Alternative to WoTC D&D

Piling on to the Pathfinder bandwagon Paizo's products sound like the thing for you. Adventure paths if you are so inclined, related and non-related modules, ad lots of new content. The Pathfinder RPG will be compatible with 3.5. However, what sets them apart from other supporting material...

What Dragon or Dungeon magazines contain Planar info?

As far as Dragon, I know 287's (Sept 2001) theme is the planes, 315 (Jan 2004) has a "campaign classic" featuring some of the factions, and 321 (July 2004) has several planar articles.

What Dragon or Dungeon magazines contain Planar info?

Dungeon issues 55 and 60 have Planescape specific adventures. Issues 31, 100, 107, and 108 (and possibly others) have planehopping in some of their adventures.

Recruiting for replacement player for PBeM

Up for a challenge? Glen Gildor Adventures, running since February 2001, has one opening for a replacement player. One of our original players recently had to bow out, leaving behind a very interesting character. I am looking for a strong role-player and solid writer that is interested in...

What monster killed your first PC?

Ah, yes, it is interesting when DMing 99% of the time. 25 years playing, 0 PC deaths. Total time running a PC: about 7 sessions. :( Total time DMing: about 1 billion sessions :)

Greatest Insult to a D&D PLAYER (OOC)

"Cheater" What stings more than being falsely accused? Or, if you do cheat, what stings more than being called to the nmate in front of your peers?

What old books do you still own? The first OD&D box anyone?

OD&D boxed set--but, man, are those three booklets beat. Little did I know I wasn't supposed to write in them. And paperstock covers aren't great for longevity. Supplement I -- Chainmail

I think this was then re-done for Dungeon under the title "North of Narboral" or something like that.

    Pbem/pbp?

We've found that the rule of thumb is 1 hour of tabletop play = 1 week of PBeM play. So, yeah, it is a lot slower, but a good alternative for those who simply can't commit huge amounts of time due to family, work, etc.

What RPG books/manuals do you really regret buying?

The poster said his players didn't want to do Planescape. I was pointing out that Planar HB is *NOT* Planescape. Perhaps we are saying the same thing?

What RPG books/manuals do you really regret buying?

<Manual of the Planes- never really had a chance to use it, as I used my own cosmology, and nobody wanted to do planescape.> This is NOT Planescape. Not even close.

What RPG books/manuals do you really regret buying?

Planar Handbook--what a disappointing piece of dung. As a Planescape buff, this thing was utter crap. As a D&D player, this was utter crap. Actually, based on previous discussions of this book on ENworld, I can't believe this hasn't gotten more mentions. Have I mentioned it is an utter piece...
