"This will be my last assingment, Mr President" - Jack Bauer.

It might very well be after the overkill break-out scene in the jail. I can´t see that he can recover from that, especially after the president told that he will not be able to cover for him anymore.
At last a worthy contender to the mighty Alias who totally dominates this season so far.

The show seems to finally be picking up the pace a bit. Any thoughts, ideas, complaints, or food you have to share?

I like this season so far and have a feeling it may end up being the best season overall from start to finish. The first season had so many twists and you could tell the show was feeling itself out. The second season slammed ahold of you from early on with Jack's actions at the end of Ep. 1 and what happened to CTU. This season is much more insidious....it gets under you and begins to gain strength almost like a ...virus. ;)

This is the only TV show I am watching this season, other than the occasional episode of ER. The rest have either lost it or just don't interest me anymore. This season of 24 is just plain evil, and I get the feeling that it may be the last. So Jack's a junkie now? Talk about a dark twist. He's never been a boy scout, but this adds such a dark element to his character. I don't think the kid who brought in the virus is going to make it. I was also surprised that they shot Tony. The story seems to be coming along well and has dispelled the doubts that I had about the show through much of last season.

I found that a bit much as well. Seems that each season that have a few "over the top" Jack Bauer moments that seem to be overkill. On the other hand, Salazar seems like an extremely bright guy, and if Bauer doesn't go too far then he might think this is all just a set-up.

Tony getting shot took me totally by surprise. That's one thing I love about this show - you can never guess what will come next (and if you do you'll be wrong half the time). The only thing I don't like about this season is the mole planted inside CTU. Seems far to similar to Nina in season one.

Hey Silver Moon...love your sig. That's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time...
The story behind it. In the Summer of '94 my father let into me with a major guilt trip on my about how his mother in the Chicago area really wanted to see her only great-granddaughter. So I asked my gamer wife (Kriskrafts) How would you like to go to GenCon? She said yes, and a few weeks later we were off. We drove out to Chicago, spent a week with my Grandmother, drove up to Milwaulkee for the four days of Gencon, then back to Chicago for a few more days before heading back to New England.

While at GenCon we alternated gaming slots playing and watching our 18-month old. During one of my babysitting slots I attempted to attend a discussion by author Peter David, but had to leave his presentation three times when my daughter started crying. A few hours later I was in line for authographs from him, and apologized for my daughter's interruptions. He smiled, said he had three young children of his own, and then gave said the line quoted in the sig. line.

I too am loving 24 this season. I thought that while the prison break was a little too easy, the parts where Jack made peace with Kim and Chase was really touching... especially Kim. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.
