I'm impressed as well. We're only two hours into the season and already I'm hooked.

And best of all: No more misadventures of Kim Bauer! :D

That depends on how supercharged you are. Really, though, I was expecting it to air soon, I just wasn't sure when until I watched that hilarious romp of a game beforehand and saw that it was coming up next! I like the new characters, one dead, and more to follow I hope. One thing I'm concerned about, depending on how they take the characters, is the same cliche people in most of the same positions. New boss, BI, instead of the usual pain of a guy. She is just the next in a series of higher-ups out to get Jack. With only Tony (mostly, even though he had a few moments) as the exception, the boss always is working against Jack, with Jack getting out of control and being held for investigation. I hope they are just leading us astray with the first episodes with this rehashed storyline of unchanging leader types.
Glad they brought in the new president from last season already. I do have to wonder, though, what do all of the other major cities do? If all of the CTU's are as busy as L.A., the president must never get off the phone with those folks. Zoe is a pain, but you've gotta like her character.
Anyone heard of any of the previous cast coming back for cameos, or signing on for the end of the season?

saw it. Loved it. Eagerly looking forward to the next two hours tomorrow night.
I wonder though... since by definition, the series can only be 24 episodes long each season.. they showed two tonight, two tomorrow nite... doesn't leave much of a season left... no wonder they waited till January to start it.
Uh, Zoe? Do you mean Chloe? Or is there someone in the show named Zoe who I've forgotten about?

Zoe, Chloe, Joey, same difference (OK, I screwed up. C'mon, its the first episode and I have to get used to the names again). Where the heck did I get Zoe?
So, is the kid gonna off the girlfriend? Or, is he setting up a big slice of disappointment for daddy?

I know Tony will be around for a few episodes in the latter half of the season; last i heard, they're still in talks with the respective actors to get cameos for Michelle and Palmer as well.

I was really disappointed with the run Reiko (Michelle) had on CSI. I was sooo excited to see her making her was on to that show, and she was gone after one episode. Dennis (Palmer) should be able to take some time away from his insurance commercial gig to do a few eps.
Speaking of Palmer, I rented Sinbad, the animated movie with the voices of Pitt and Zeta-Jones), for my son and realized about 20 minutes in that he was doing the voice of Sinbad's first mate. Good voice to go with that character.

Nothing freaked me out more than when I realized that the guy playing Palmer was also Cerrano in the Major League films!

A good episode. It's going to be on Monday's at 9, right? Or will it be on opposite Medium and now I'll have to make a choice (no TiVo)?

I loved it. I have watched every season. I agree with the whole "boss is out to get Jack so Jack has to go renegade" thing. Seems tired and I hope they come up with something else as we go along. I did like the character intros this year. Everyone seems closely woven together around the plot and gives them enough material to explore.

By the way, that's Dennis Haysbert you guys are talking about.
