Team Caves: can we assume we have the two sitting somewhere quietly with their hands tied?
I think we would keep them alive unless Shamal goes crazy again
I was thinking we could bring them back to the kobolds to let them guard them until we are done. Once we are done, the kobolds can set them free.
Leaving her tied up with the kobolds isn't a bad idea at all, assuming we make any progress.
If she resists, though, we're in a good position to knock her unconsicous. I don't think Urgan was bluffing about breaking her fingers.
To make things quick, here are some questions we want answered:
This is a reasonable list. Thanks for taking this approach -- I think it will speed things up. Some of the questions are interesting, and perhaps good for the story, but not necessary strictly for us now. (in my opinion). Some are more urgent, though, and maybe we should foreground them.

We shoudl know this, though the kobolds will be able to say.
What is the cult trying to do here (goals)
not sure we need this, though the story would be interesting.
Has destroyaster been revived
this is relevant, as is who she answers to.
Why is the mountain “spreading”
What is the layout of the caves

How does the teleporter work
This would be useful, whether we use it or not. (It is where her giving a false answer could hurt us most, though.) We could take precautionsagainst that, but it will slow us down.
I’m hesitant to ask about the diamond staff in case they escape and inform their allies why we are here.

Who she sees as her superior is what I think is most important. She's not the big bad, but she knows who is, and (if needed) could take us there.
