OOC: Can I still attempt the Arcana check? Also, how much ground would I cover? I wanna make sure me and Cyrus are covered, since the rest are already so near the tower >.<
Standard Action?
And is a roll of 23 enough?

OOC: Sorry about the delay. Was dealing with my grandma in the hospital.

I'm guessing Cyrus didn't do anything in the first round. Or was round one a surprise round for the goblins?

*Cyrus streaks across the open ground as fast as he possibly could. Like a shadow racing to beat the ever rising sun.*

When the wood man burst in and cleaved through the lead goblin, Finnean grinned at the remaining goblins and taunted them.

"SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!"

Finnean pats his friend on the back.

"Thanks Wood Man."

The halfling grabs a dagger and tosses it at one of the remaining goblins. The blade catches the goblin in the center of the chest, puncturing a lung.

Finnean then moves to cut off more reinforcements from coming down the stairs.

[sblock=Actions]Minor: Draw dagger
Standard: Sly Flourish (1d20+8=17)
Move: H10[/sblock]

OOC: Goblin Cutter 1 dies.

GM: [MENTION=84680]treex[/MENTION]: I would have to say no, you can't distract them because they already see you and your allies.

It would take 3-4 actions for you to the tower and then inside (running, action points, converting standard actions, etc). Remember, standing up from prone requires a Move action too.

The goblin sharpshooters' first shots were at long range and so earned a -2 penalty to the attack rolls. You were prone and that also added a -2 to the attack rolls, which all missed you. Ixen, Cyrus and you (after your move/s) will be within range of them (granting CA because they were running). While outside and adjacent to the tower, you gain concealment (i.e. -2 to their attacks)

"Oh Gods, make it stop, make it stop, MAKE IT STOP. It's raining arrows and death."

Jesse covers his head with his hands and scrambles forward on all fours, across the battlefield.

[sblock=Actions]Standard > Move: Crawl to Y8
Move: Crawl to V9[/sblock]

OOC: Jesse will stay prone for now, his AC is crap. I believe you can attack with no penalty while prone, yes?

Are those arrows coming from the top of the tower or out of windows? And how high off the ground is the level they're being shot from? (How many stories is that from the room I'm in now?)
[/sblock]

GM: [MENTION=79945]JoeNotCharles[/MENTION]: The arrows are from the rooftop. From outside it looks like only three stories. Based on the room (i.e. the first level) you're in, it's about 30-feet at least to the top of the tower.

[sblock=OOC]
So if I go back outside and stand at the top of the ramp, it'll be 5 squares away to hit them? (30 feet up from here is 6 squares, including the one I'm standing in which doesn't count for range.) Do I have line of sight from there?

I assume if I go down to the bottom of the ramp, it'll be 6 squares (the ramp is about 5 feet high)?
