[Adventure] Squash Those Bugs! (DM: Dekana, Judge: ?)

From the scattered footprints and drag marks on the dusty cavern floor, Lenyara determines that, within the last 24 hours, two kobolds dragged a third into this chamber and left him there. The centipedes then dragged the kobold to the western half of the room and devoured him. It's unclear whether the kobold was already dead or not when the bugs got a hold of him. Lenyara also notices that this cave appears to be entirely sealed off. There are no other exits or crevices that the bugs could have crawled through.

While looking through the belongings of the dead, Ashurn checks a satchel strapped to a gnome's skeleton. Inside, he finds some sticks of explosives. They appear to be very old and are potentially dangerous to even touch.

GM: Okay, where to? And does Ashurn want to do anything with the explosives?

"Looks more like the kobolds were keeping these bugs as pets, or using them to dispose of bodies," Lenyara growled, pointing out the traces and clues that she had found to the others. "Doesn't look like there is another way out- we might need to go have a talk with our employers..."

Labraundos walks over to Lenyara. "How sure are you?" he says, as he spins his axe in his hands.

"If you are correct, something somewhere is going to reap a whirlwind."

"Pretty sure," Lenyara growled softly as she made another circuit of the room. She took the time to point out the signs she had been able to find, and the probable meaning for each of the details. "Can't be totally sure- between the bugs moving around and the kobolds and us, could be something got wiped away. Either there isn't any other way out at all, or there is a way but it is well hidden and hasn't been used lately..."

OOC: Pretty good roll, but kobolds are tricky- and the skill only works on the last 24 hours worth of activity. Any other ideas, anyone?
