Okay, the computer is fixed; I had some malware because I did something dumb. Took up a lot of my free time to get things back up and running and most of my files for this game were on this computer. I had backups, but did not want to restore them on another computer unless it was necessary. I am going over to the IC thread to update right now.

I got the beginnings of an IC post up. I wanted to award XP and treasure before moving on though. Today has been kind of busy, and I will be having my Monday PF game tonight, so I may get the battle started when I get home from that, or it might have to wait until tomorrow. Just keeping you guys posted.

Lol, yeah. Those can be addictive and very time consuming. Hard to fix your computer while getting yourself a fix.

It wasn't porn. I downloaded MotioninJoy to use the drivers for my PS3 controller on my PC. But that program is not so secure...

It was a rookie mistake, and I should have known better. I found a secure way to use my PS3 controller after this fiasco. I wish Sony would just release official drivers.

Well, it looks as though my MSXML files have gotten somehow corrupted. Although diagnostics says they're OK, several programs I use (including, unfortunately, HeroLab) say that they're not and are not working correctly.

I've got a few more things to try to get them fixed, but if they don't pan out I'll be spending significant time making sure everything's backed up, then doing a clean install of Windows (and a lot of praying). SO, if I disappear from the boards for a day or two (I surely hope that's all it ends up taking) that's where I'll be.
