Sorry, PM - keep forgetting about this niggling little detail. I'm fine with Jamir carrying them, and won't go back to stick a comment about it in the IC. Kelvyn did say back in mid-February that we should split them, but I lost the thread of that conversation amongst the prisoner interrogations, and he's not the sort to care very much about who has them so he'd just take whatever he was offered, probably.

Trying to figure out a post for the IC, but I'm struggling a little to get a good one put together right now. I'll keep at it . . .

Airwalker, I hope it is alright with you if I do this, but I am thinking of running a clone of the doctor in another thread. It is totally unaffiliated and the eventual scope of the character will be a tangent to this one. It will help me to get some future kinks out of the concept as well.

is that alright with you?

Sick kid and a very stressful work week (month, really) are conspiring against me - I haven't made much progress on any of my gaming stuff. Playing as fast as I can!

no worries Mowgli. I've been sick as a dog since Wednesday. I came down with a terrible cold. Had me sick at home Thursday and Friday both. Feeling better now though. I hope to update the thread sometime later Monday.

Seems no one has added anything since Wednesday anyway. Do you guys need a hook or a hint?

At this point, here's how things look from my perspective:

The unexpected conflict between Nuko and Jamir needs to be dealt with. If we were to just move on, it would imply that Jamir didn't answer what Nuko just said. That would lock in the bad blood and guarantee future conflict.

I guess Jamir didn't like the way Nuko phrased his request, since he just said 'hand me a potion'. The background assumption on Nuko's part was of course that Jamir is holding the items for the party much like a bank, and that Nuko was perfectly within his rights to make a withdrawal; and that if the others disagreed they would talk about it rather than refusing outright. If Nuko didn't say 'please' that only means he thought the need for such formalities was past; he would not have been so informal with a newly met stranger. When Jamir refused, Nuko saw this as tantamount to theft on the part of the already shady Jamir, and remedying this could justify strong measures on Nuko's part.

The best chance to defuse the situation might be if Thrindar somehow steps in at this point. I am waiting for either perrinmiller or Tailspinner to post.

Okay, apparently I need to address this in a more direct way. I attempted to make a broad statement to the same effect without calling anyone out in particular, but it seems that did not work.

perrinmiller and kinem, the two of you need to make peace. I believe something was said early on either IC or OOC, and one or the other of you took personal offense. You have been exchanging barbs IC ever since. You guys are adults, so I apologize if this sounds patronizing, but please remember this is a game, a team game. Whatever it is between you two, find the humility you need to apologize and forgive each other. If you cannot bring yourself to do that, then please exit the campaign gracefully without further remark. I do not feel like I should have to say any of this, but it has gone on long enough. Quite frankly, I find the whole matter puerile. Either make amends or make the decision to bow out of the campaign.

I will give you guys a week to discuss the matter via PMs. In the meantime, I will introduce a little roleplaying side trek for Mowgli, Scott DeWar, and Tailspinner.
