Hmm. I would say that good (in the well-written sense) characters often have a tendency to drift about a fair bit. Plus these things are very subjective.
Thomas Covenant (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant): Was probably originally Neutral, but had moved close to Lawful Neutral in the time period at the start of the series. Neutral Good by the end of the sixth book.
Angus Thermopyle (The Gap Series): Started Chaotic Neutral with strong evil tendencies, ended a more balanced Chaotic Neutral.
Conan: Chaotic Neutral with tendencies towards true neutrality.
Colonel Fehdman Kassad (The Hyperion Cantos):
Lawful Neutral with good tendencies.

Tomas - Started out as a LG youth who turned to CN as his mind was nearly overwelmed and later balanced out at CG.
PG - LG all the way, especially with the training he received.
Marcos the Black - True Neutral
Jimmy the Hand - Probably neutral as a youth but definately LN when he ends up ruling Krondor.

King Stannis from the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series is the best example of Lawful Neutral I have ever seen. It's a textbook on lawful neutral

Angus Thermopyle (one of my favorites too) was Chaotic Evil at the begining, about as strong a case as you see, however he changed to CG with neutral tendencies by the end.
How could you think he wasn't would he have to kidnap and rape someone to show you otherwise. Oh wait, he did that. Would he have to use medical technology to take over someones mind almost for the espress purpose of torturing them. No, he did that too. How about capturing a whole shipload of people and selling then to aliens who he knwo would use them for bizzarre and torturous experaments. No, wait he did that. I'd hate to encounter what you consider EVIL.
