Bucket o' Snails lives!

Do you still strike cover if you miss by the appropriate amount?

Not by the default Core Rules. It's now a variant rule in the DMG.

But you miss the point - you don't get any AoOs at all, if the targets have cover.

(Anyway, AoOs are only for the puppy variant. Snails don't do much that provokes AoOs :) )

No they don't - in a lot of campaigns, BBEG are often classed humanoids who don't rely on spiked chains. (One of the reasons I think D20 Modern is so cool is that an NPC isn't so much weaker than an equal-level PC, making for more balanced encounters.)

Speaking of spiked chains, * Cleave does work with Trip attacks, right (being a form of "dropping")? If so you could conceivably trip through characters in every space within 10 ft. reach. I was thinking how Improved Trip would interact with this, but it looks like in the 3.5 SRD that the free melee attack got taken out.

Did you "deal enough damage to make it drop"?

Or, in other words, no. Tripping doesn't fit the definition of 'drop an opponent' for the purposes of Cleave. It's been addressed many times, and that's always the answer given.

Long live the bucket of snails!

Well, it hinges on the fact that Perfect TWF is an incredibly badly-worded feat.

It should grant a fourth attack, or perhaps as many off-hand attacks as you have iterative attacks from BAB.

But that's not what they wrote :)

Would the MiniHB feat Double Strike help where you get for each AoO 2 attacks (main and off-hand weapon) or is this already included in the PTWF?

Well, the two (AoOs and PTWF) are two separate combinations - AoOs uses Combat Reflexes, PTWF doesn't - so Double Strike doesn't really have any effect on the theory.

Epic character, remember? The bucket's coated with Universal Solvent.

I think you mean salve of slipperiness. In previous editions, Universal Solvent would disintegrate the snails. In 3.5, it would only help if the snails were covered in sovereign glue.

Not that this fact contributes at all to the thread. ;)
