The general sentiment seems to be "no" on the mule. I agree. Everything else seems fine.

I think the mule could be worth it though. Rations that carry themselves. . .

But unless someone knows how to butcher it properly, I suppose we could just be better off without it.

Am still lacking a definitive post regarding the purchase of a mule. I'll check in here and in the IC in the morning. If I don't see anything by then, I'll go ahead and have Kermit accept the 9 gp and 9 sp in payment and bid Kiaphas and Elyan a good morning and a pleasant journey (sans a mule).

Sorry to do it, but I've seen too many groups get bogged down on purchasing stuff. In pbp, where even combat can take days to resolve, I'd prefer not to wait out a shopping trip for mundane purchases.
