I hope the anniversary 50e updates the Players Handbook with certain content from Xanathars (tool pros, cosmic force) and Tashas (swaps, psi).

I allow most of the PH, some other material from e.g. Volo's et al, and a ton of homebrew.

Drow are not pcs in my game, nor are many of the random added races. Most class material (but not all- no obviously broken stuff like Twilight cleric, spells like healing spirit, etc) gets in. Feats, usually, unless they strain my credulity (Poisoner, I'm looking at you, and I still haven't decided whether to allow you).

Depending on where you are in the setting, you may have some options that aren't available elsewhere.

I'm basically extremely strict about anything that I find unbalanced compared to the core rules, anything that doesn't fit the setting, or anything that I feel doesn't fit the setting here, but it might fit in sometime over there.

anything*. I just want everyone to have fun. You can make anything work.

*I suppose there are some 3rd party things that wouldn't work, but no one I play with has ever brought such to the table.

There is not an option in the poll for what I do. Everything is not allowed, but it has really nothing to do with in which book it is in. Some of PHB stuff is not allowed, some UA stuff is. I just chose which sort of things I felt were appropriate for this world and the style of campaign I wanted to run.

If I was homebrewing, I would go with PHB +1 source with the following changes. No feats or a few of them like Chef, more roleplaying boost type than combat. For spells. All would be open. No UA.

It varies a bit depending on the particular campaign/setting I'm running. I generally allow PHB and Xanathar's content though I will remove certain options based on the needs of my setting. Most often removing the Drow subrace and sometimes Dragonborn and Tieflings as well.

I don't use Tasha's at my table. I mix in a bit of homebrew as needed. I'm surprised to see relatively little mention of third party content given how much quality material there is for 5e. I've been making use of a lot of Kobold Press stuff in my games. In particular material from their Midgard Heroes Handbook and Deep Magic books. Looking forward to sprinkling in magic items from the recently released Vault of Magic in my new campaign. And also to seeing their Tome of Heroes when it releases.

Everything, with the caveat that I'll have to look at any homebrew and consider it. But most of the folks I'm trying to get to play are new and not all-consuming homebrew fiends like I am so I tend to be the one scrounging for homebrew to support their ideas, not the other way around.

mind one of my homebrew settings was literately inspired because I found a Kaijuborn homebrew race and wanted an excuse to have it be a major race, sooo...
