Our DM has a campaign website for our Dark Sun game. It is very useful having house rules, links, character background, rumours, etc. all in one place.

He has also set up a message board that I really ought to contribute to more. :(
The campaign webiste was a great help for files, session summaries and updates, house rules, info on levelling options and general support stuff.

Discussion forums never really took off (I'm another player who didn't really contribute to them I'm sorry to say :( ) but we are all in pretty regular e-mail contact between games.

Yeah. We use sites for all our on-going games basically. Some are used to track house rules, but mostly they are to track background elements that I want to make sure the players are aware of. Since our primary games are each played once a month, having a website you can go to and read what happened last game is VERY useful to keeping players current with what's going on - doubly so since the game is pretty episodic which means we often run a game shy one or two of the players.

My best campaign website is the CyberWiki for my CyberPunk campaign - you can check it out here: http://www.butiamletired.com/cyberwiki
