Solid start to the season. One thing I continue to appreciate after the last several seasons of GOT, is that they have returned to a slower pace, giving scenes time to breathe rather than hurrying from plot to plot. It adds tension and character in ways that later GOT lacked.
I will say that the castle was disturbingly unguarded. I think the intention was "the lord commander of the king's guard is doing Alicent rather than his job". But I mean.....there was NO ONE. No regular guards, no kingsguard, not a soul. That's a bit crazy to me considering its:
1) The Queen
2) The heir
3) The King's mother
4) The King's brother
5) Who else knows what other lofty people are on that floor.
