Seeing the Bugbears about to surround Kharu, Donnell sees an opening and runs in to attack but the attack is clumsy and rushed and the rapier goes wide. He darts back behind the wall before the creature can retaliate.

Kahru found himself surrounded by the stink of burning fur as the bugbears closed in on him, his eyes widened, almost glowing as his heart quickened, veins and muscles bulging - he gave a grim smile, he had the bugbears right where he wanted them!

With a loud bellow he held Waythe above his head, arched his back and swung the great sword around in a full wide arc, cleaving wildly into crowded assailants his whole body spinning so the sword chopped down everyone like a scythe through straw...

OOC: I do hope your using the DM cleaving rules - starting with bg1 and trying to catch em all!

The fires from the blast reflect in the deep recesses of Doc's eyes, stirrin' up the angry souls he always carries. Doc watches the battle with a stillness that doesn't betray the twistin' and turmoil within, and without so much as flinchin' from the heat, Doc points the peacemaker right at Kahru.

Doc fires, and looses a soul with that shot. The bullet screams by Kahru's ear and hits another ugly square, fellin' em', while the vicious soul burrows into an ugly nearby, causing it to give up its short lease on life.

Pleased with the shot, Doc fires another shot at the closest ugly, endin' its unfortunate existence and addin' to Doc's count for the Sheriff.

OOC:
Given my earlier brainfreeze, I doublecheked, I can shoot at BB3, and this is considered half-cover, so +2 to its AC. @FitzTheRuke if you use any other optional rules, LMK.

First Damage (Sneak): 1D10+5 = [4]+5 = 9

23 damage to BB3. Woot!

Wails at BB5: 1D6 = [3] = 3
5 3 damage to BB5. WOOT!

14 damage to BB1. WOOT WOOT!

Kahru was struggling to mount an effective counter-attack while defending himself, but Doc shot down three bugbears with only two shots (and a wailing spirit).
 



OOC: BB1-5 are dead; 6 and 7 are visible, 8, 9, X exist but aren't on the map. Given that...


The Colonel pulls down sacred flame on the more distant of the two standing bugbears, making sure he doesn't flee.The flames engulf him, and the Colonel watches to see if the creature falls.

OOC: Sacred Flame vs BB7: DC18 dex or 3d8=12 radiant damage.
If he fails the save, of the BB on the map, that should leave just BB6 next to Kahru.
 

As bugbears fell all around Kahru, the last remaining one decided he had better flee. He turned as the body of one of his allies fell between him and Kahru, and he ran southward, past flaming pallets.

To the North, doors opened and a very ugly giant lumbered out. One eye was scarred shut and he had an enormous hunchback. He was holding an oversized double-bladed axe and flanking him were two ugly and fiendish-looking apes.

::Whadz goin' on here?:: he said in a deep booming Giantish before spotting Gimlak and adding, ::Aaah! Idza flyin' small! Die, flyin' small!::

He grabbed a rock from a pouch on his belt and flung it at Gimlak, but the dwarf quickly lowered himself and it went over his head, striking the wall with a loud thump.
The giant waved at them, and the two apes bounded across the room while howling.
