The bugbears body slumped to the floor with a satisfying thud, and the northman got to surveil the hallway south before slamming the door. Injured bugbears and orogs were no real concern, but they would no doubt raise the alarm letting someone know there were enemies inside the stronghold.
Looking about the burning room, Kahru grabbed a nearby bed, tossing off the flaming covers and pulled the frame up against the door, hopefully enough of a barricade to keep the door shut, or at least make it difficult for anything wanting to get in from the south.
With no enemy nearby, his rage was subsiding, his breathing and heartbeat returning to normality. He looked about wondering if the fires in the room would burn themselves out or if they would become a hazard for him and his companions - they would need to rest soon.
For now though there was still a commotion to the north and so satisfied that the door was secure and the rooms fire would not become a danger Kahru headed up to check on the others ...
