The sudden appearance of... that giant creature, whatever it was, frightened Miss Imogen deeply. She had been holding back, hoping that this fight, any fight, could be avoided. But it was not to be. Time seemed to have frozen, her allies weren't attacking, and she didn't know why. But there was Weed, well, not weed, but whatever the magic had turned Weed into, and poor Kapalue was alone fighting that thing. Almost alone -- Ussal was there too. In the thick of it.

She needed to act.

With a speed that she had never before managed, Miss Imogen unleashed a volley of arrows into the Sauropod. Always aiming for the head, three of them lodging themselves.

OOC: Bonus action: Fighting Spirit +5 THP and advantage on all attacks until the end of the turn. (2 uses left)
Does the sauropod version keep resistances? I guess we'll see.

Action. Attack, using sharpshooter, with adv: 1d20+4=21 HIT for 1d8+14=17 damage
Extra Attack, using sharpshooter, with adv: 1d20+4=23 for 1d8+14=18 damage
Action Surge!
Action. Attack, using sharpshooter, with adv: 1d20+4=9 MISS
BUT: she's lucky. But not that lucky. (2 uses left)
Extra Attack, using sharpshooter, with adv: 1d20+4=17 for 1d8+14=20 damage

So that's a total of 3 hits, for 55 damage, or 28 damage if resistances are in effect.

I'll just add that the image of the transformed hag is truly offputting. Yuk! and awesome.

Not being close to the new combatants, Ussal focuses on the hag. The beast that appears in front of him is surprising, but tranformations aren't really new to him.

He just keeps pummeling the beast, driving Miss Imogens arrows deeper. Second hit just misses the beast. Still, lingering threat of the guardian pulls the hag toward him, making it harder for her to turn away toward others.

One hit for 9, one miss, hag has disadvantage on attacking anyone but Ussal
Full attack vs dino-hag: 1d20+8 = [14] +8 = 22; 1d8+5 = [4]+5 = 9; 1d20+8 = [6]+8 = 14; 1d8+5 = [6]+5 = 11

"Oooh! Aaah!" said the Hag as she was struck many times by arrows, metal fists, and horns. However, she kept giggling as she did and she added in a mocking tone, "Won't be long now afore me sisters arrive! Ye'll all regret it when they do! Whoo-hoo!"

Then she swung her tail, which crashed through some of the supports for the balcony, and carried that debris with it as it plowed into Ussal, striking him hard.

The ant's nest on her back was all a-flurry, and many of them leaped off her back onto Weed's leafy surface. They began to chew at its leaves, and they secreted some sort of toxin that made Weed feel sleepy.

"Aren't ye sleepy, ya big mossy lug?" she said with a cackle, through her twisted sarupod-mouth.

OOC: Hag made all her concentration saves and critted poor Ussal for 50! bludgeoning damage & he must make a dc15 STR save or be thrown 15ft away. Weed didn't take any damage, but he must make a dc15 CON save or fall asleep (unconscious). His CON's pretty good in Triceratops-form, so he'll probably be okay. I'll roll the round after we find out how they're doing. EDIT: Though I have Ussal at 42 HP, so unless he's got some tricks, he might be down (in which case, he'd auto-fail the save. @MetaVoid?

Legend
The great hag-beast's tail smashed into Ussal, bending his armored chest-plate into a concave-shape and throwing the poor serpentfolk through the air until he came to rest by the hags' iron cauldron.

Weed's leafy-behemoth form slumped to the ground and was quickly being chewed on by many ants, all the size of a man's hand.

A Chwinga whooped from the top of a nearby table (a ladder went up one leg, made from Chwingas standing on one-another's shoulders) where the odd little forest-creature had discovered a ring of iron keys, one of which matched the cage with the mysterious prisoner.

Speaking of whom: Grroll and Brrapp awaited the arrival of the keys, but they were inspecting the occupant of the cage with cat-like curiosity: Their whiskers twitched as they saw that the humanoid inside appeared to be Chrysagon, and yet - Chrysagon had arrived with them, though now unrecognizable as a wizened goat-person. A goat-person who stood nearby, peering with his strange goat-eyes at the cage's occupant. He made a puzzled, "Mmmmeeeeh!?"

From some unknown location there came the sound of bells ringing, and the three dolls tried to hide in the nearest hiding place - the rocks around the cookfire, which was mercifully down to embers. "The bells!" came a small voice from the Straw Girl, "She's here!"

Though no-one could yet discern where "she" might be.

Qawasha said nothing but, instead, nodded to Weed to finish this grim task but, instead, Weed fell asleep. Qawasha, instead, shook his head,

"Be ready, my friends, to attack her when she is vulnerable."

And with ancient words that rooted back to the creation of the world, Qawasha undid the magic that enshrouded the Hag.

"You, there! Qawasha indicated to one of the Chwingas who was chatting with the dolls, "Go wake up the flowery dinosaur."

"And you! Take this to that man and feed it to him." Qawasha hands a Chwinga a goodberry.

The creature goes invisible and flies towards Ussal

Qawasha moved back more.

Weed fails his saving throw, sadly. He got a 9 total.

Fortunately, Qawasha succeeds in dispelling the polymorph.
DISPEL MAGIC: 1D20+4 = [12]+4 = 16

Move to U23

Does Phantasmal Force work on a sleeping victim? If so, a pixie could use that to wake Weed. The save is INT DC 12. The Phantasm is that he's having a dream about flying but then starts falling. Normally you wake up before you hit the ground. But not this time! This time he hits the ground and takes psychic damage as if it were real. The damage should wake him up. After that, the illusion is a bunch of vegypymies in the rafters cheering him on.

Weed saving throw INTELLIGENCE: 1D20 = [9] = 9] Fail unless he's smart and has INT proficiency. I don't know his bonus.

phychic damage: 1D6 = [2] = 2

Otherwise, one Chwinga will stab him with their spear for 1 damage. Although, I can't find a weapon or attack value on their character sheet...so maybe they can't.

Another Chwinga will take a goodberry and feed it to Ussal if he's unconscious.

Fly speed = 30 feet

2/3 goodberries
Chawinga (pixie) stats (1 hour) (1hp each)

Tears of nervous energy are caught in Miss Imogen's eyes. Ussal lies on the ground, and she fears for his safety.

She draws another arrow, and as she lines up to fire on the Sauropod's skull, suddenly the body shifts, and again the old hag is there. Qawasha has done it. She readjusts her aim and fires directly into the Old Hag's heart.

OOC: Attack with sharpshooter: 1d20+4=23 HIT for 1d8+14=21 nonmagical piercing Damage (reduced to 10 with resistances).
