Imp Crit + Keen = ???

Shouldn't this do something cool, rather than feel like a waste?

IMC, I grant +1 to the crit multiplier if you have both. I have yet to see it become a problem, but the PCs are only 13th level.

But what other coolness might these bonuses synergize into? Some ideas:

1/ Extra crit range or multiplier (not stacking, but some kind of bonus)
2/ Chance to overcome Fortification
3/ +1d6 extra damage on a crit

Other ideas?

Perhaps give a bonus on the confirm?

I never found it to bad to stack them. I had a 3.0 character who had an 11-20/x3 crit Long Sword (took a few item bonuses, a keen scabard, and the improved crit feat), and he used to chage with it using mounted charge. Amazingly enough, he didn't crit as often as you might think, because he still had to confirm.

I play a hybrid 3.0/3.5 game...that is we're converting...but pretty much one rule at a time.

We've discovered letting them stack doesn't really change much.

I agree with Sean.
