Item shape variation?

This is something i was thinking of. Say a wizard wants to make a wand of fireball. However, he doesnt want to be disarmed with it. Make it a glove of fireball. Just point and shoot. Keeps charges same as wand. What feats would this require? What kind of price would this have?

I am at work and don't have any books with me right now, but I think in the Tome and Blood book it says that if you are going to substitute one type of item for another you need to have the feats to make BOTH types, and the item should be priced as normal.. for a glove a fireballs you would need Craft Wonderous Item AND Craft Wands. This is to keep the Munchkin players from making cheap knock off items like Glove of the Magi instead of Staff of the Magi at a much lower level than would be usual.

First of all, this would require the DM's permission to make the "new item". He doesn't automatically have this as an option unless the DM makes an exception for it.

That sounds OK

I would require both Craft Wand and Craft Wondrous Item.

11,250 gp is a good starting point, but you'd probably end up with a little markup on it. However, being disarmed of a wand is not such an easy thing anyways.

The main reason really is to have it on hand always. And im going to ask the DM about it. I was just wanting to figure out what it might cost.
