A great post. Worth the wait.Took me a while, but I posted for Caerth.
I don't think the plan is to split up. @Scotley wrote in one of his posts that Phar is against splitting up. Aureus agrees with her longtime friend and thinks splitting up is bad idea in general.JustinCase said:BTW, what's the plan? Are we splitting up for the various destinations, or are we going together to see Aeron first and then on to the other places?
Well, there are rules for petitioners, so I don't think I'd say the spell just fails.Oh, I missed the part where he died. Not sure if Caerth would've heard it, either. And I have no idea what happens if one tries to scry on a dead person... I think it depends on what defines a person; if it is their soul, theoretically one can find it on the relevant plane (which gives him a +5 on his Will save to resist the spell).
If that plane even allows scrying into. Or the other way around, perhaps the subject submits to the spell, forgoing his save?
Or perhaps the spell just fails?
The answers can be, if that is how you want it. I have no objection to only Maur (and/or other dwarves) being the only one who can hear the answers.Maur doesn't object to anyone coming as long as they are respectful.
Are the answers audible to all?
Reading the spell, it doesn't say whether or not the answers are audible to others who might be nearby.I simply don't know if that's how the spell works. The point being, Maur might not necessarily like Aries knowing about tha dagger, but the orher answer about Star Arms is excellent for him to hear.
And saves the interpretation if everyone hears everything
