Knightfall
World of Kulan DM
Twelve hours is my guarantee that no bad guys will come looking for the PCs, but it's not 100% given that the bad guys will come looking for you in the thirteenth hour. So, you guys can choose to push the downtime and see what happens. It's up to you.Ok, so I made a roleplaying post to briefly introduce Tim to the two new guys, and also to make known his weakened condition, so that they will realize that he needs help recovering from the poison. As I have stated before, Tim could recover naturally, with 48 hours of bed rest, but since you're talking 12 hours before continuing, that is not likely to be a viable scenario.
The closest well-known inn to where the fight took place is known as the Silver Wyrm, but it is for the elite rich and famous. Tim probably has enough fame to get in, but he might not enough wealth to pay for its numerous amenities. Even if he just wants room, it will cost a lot. Food and lodging is significantly higher than listed on p. 129 in the v.3.5 PHB, and there are no common or poor rooms or meals. A basic good room costs 20 gp instead of 2 gp. (Twice that if Tim wants a room sized for him.) A banquet/person costs a min. of 100 gp.Tellerian Hawke said:If Tim is asked to come with the group on some errand, he will gladly tag along. If not, he is probably going to find an inn nearby (and inform the party of where he's going) and get a few hours of sleep.
Another option is the Tall Lily Inn. It is in the Blade Ward, but it is also close to the district's barracks. It does cater to larger folk. It's prices are typically 150% higher than in the PHB, but Tim has enough renown that he would only have to pay the amounts noted in the PHB. Regulars don't usually stay at the Tall Lily, but Elites have been know to eat and sleep there.
Tim could also go sleep at the Oakfirst's old childhood home. The PCs still have access to it, although it's not very secure. The front doors haven't been fixed. Oakfirst had it boarded up until he can find some time to hire some carpenters and masons to fix up the damage from the attack on the house by the Loyalists.
Tim could also just take the time to cross the district to Stromgrove Manor and sleep there without worry. And, it's free. Gerey might still be missing, but the manor is still being secured by the Dark Lanterns.
