The 60s was 60 years ago, and lanterns change on a regular basis. Why haven’t things changed? The current movie DCU has three human lanterns, all male, two toxically so.

The movie has the three most known Lanterns in it. Did you look at the bit I quoted? There are several female lanterns, and some of them among the most powerful, if not the iconic ones. Also, we currently don't know anything about the TV show other than a teaser.

And during the interim period they had people like Jessica Cruz and Jo Mullein (and Jade far as that goes). Let's not act like those weren't changes; they just changed again. DC is conservative and tends to revert to the mean on their characters over time, but acting like things never change because they tend to change back seems disingenuous.

The Arrow and The Flash both started well. Sadly, the longer they went on, but more stupid and soap-opera they both became. Sad and depressing.
