Trailer Lanterns | Official Teaser | HBO Max

Although I've always loved the idea of the GL Corps, I wound up staying away from GL comics for the same reason I generally stay away from X-Men, Batman, and Marvel's cosmic comics - there's just too much going on, like it's a mini comics line all its own.

So, I'm looking forward to this! And th' missus will watch it with me because Kyle Chandler.

The big two comics companies primary strategy for the last 20 years seems to have been, "oh, you like this thing? How about we sell you INFINITE VERSIONS OF THAT THING?" Which is great for milking the superfans/whales, but I suspect drives a whole lot of other people off.

I have heard so many good things about X-Men in recent years, but I don't have the time or money to engage with any of it.

The question ends up being whether there are more broad-superhero fans or people who just really like one subset of the brand output. I don't doubt at all that there are no small amount of people who really like the Batman related characters and really don't care about others for example, and at one time at least, that was clearly true about the X-Men too (I've been out of comics for too long now to have an informed opinion about the current status of most of them).
