LOVE the New Covers!

The new D&D brand logo is awesome.
The font used on the cover is great in its own right, and a tremendous improvement over the one used for 3E books.

I like the large, vibrant art that depicts action without totally spoiling the adventure (Sinister Spire, anyone?)

I think the PHB cover is the weakest of the bunch. It doesn't draw me near as much as any of the others. And the horned dude's outstretched arm looks dislocated.

Speaking of horned dudes... there sure are a lot on the covers (PHB, H2, H3.) I would like a little more variety. BTW, are they tieflings or dragonborn? I think the former.

The FRCG cover is nice (unless you are a Drizzt hater... but there is already a thread for them. :) )
I think it's a good move that FR doesn't have its own look and brand label. Too many brands in the same product line... that's backwards.

I want more characters in each picture. I like them all but Character Record Sheets is the only one that depicts a complete party working hard for loot.

Yeah I love the new book covers. Except for the FRCS, not that I'm a Drizzt hater, I liked the look of the 3e FR books. But yeah, really loving the art of 4e.

My fav is the fire giant holding the hellhounds....awesome

I also like the record sheet (party figthing dragon) and dm screen (fire giant with big dogs). Which makes me wonder why they are on second tier products.

Overall, I like the art. It is contemporary without having some of the issues that 3ed had (and when the sorcerer is introduced, I hope he remembers to keep his shirt on).

And it feels a little bolder. D&D art should not be understated.

I'm not sure they're really the final covers. I wouldn't be at all surprised if these were quickly put together as temporary place holders for the final product.

All that aside, I really like the image of the Dragon looking into the crystal ball at the image of the PHB on the DMG. Even if they change the ultimate image for the PHB and DMG, I hope they stick with that general design. It's very appropriate for the DMG.

I'm kind of torn. On the one hand they do look quite nice, the art is really good as always, but on the other hand I was a big fan of the fact that my DnD books looked like a pile of wizard's spellbooks in 3.x

I agree it's a telling image for such a book. Distiliated D&D essence.
