Me too?

I also would like to play, if there is still are a couple of openings. You are two hours away so I would need to talk someone else into coming if I'm going to go (I don't want to drive two hours each way by myself).
I haven't played anything else but d&d in so long I would love to play other games too.

I'm in Providence. I'd love to come to Attleboro for a game day. If there is still any space, I should be able to make it.

Any openings? I'm happy to play just about anything.

I'll try to make it. I have to check with my social planner-- I think I may be on the Cape that weekend...

For all the other non-committal folks like me, if I show up, I will run something for anyone else who hasn't yet committed to a game!

Of course I will pop back in here to clarify when I find out what my schedule really is.

Missing Master sounds great. Amazons vs. Slavers sounds like it has great potential for fun - cross-gender gaming anyone? I haven't played Cthulhu since the original Chaosium days - loved it back then. And Under da Sea sounds interesting as well, I've always enjoyed playtesting new stuff.

Time slots? Someone is presuming a lot of organization here. :p

OK, lets presume a two day affair, I can get saterday off in all likelyhood or at least only work till noon. A very rough schedule :

Saterday
Morning (10ish to noonish) settling in, finalizing last mintue game additions, helping KB and hubby do any final moving or arranging, menu choices, grocery runs.

Afternoon (noonish to 3ish) 1st gaming slot, xbox, lunch bbq, Kahuna burger panics when pug tries to eat a D4.

Late afternoon (3ish to 6ish) 2nd gaming slot, watching The Gamers, Kahuna explains the "no people food for kitty or puggy" rule for 10th time while hubby undermines her authority by 'dropping' meat and claiming dogs are related to goats.

Evening (6ish till everyone leaves) 3rd gaming slot, light dinner foods, more xbox, possible invitation to two or three well behaved guests to crash on the couches so they won't have to drive home and back.

Sunday
Morning (9ish to noonish) 4th gaming slot, continental breakfast (special gaming consideration given to folks who bring donuts), discovery that kahuna's hubby and those supposedly crashing on couches have actually been playing Halo all night and are unconsious on the floor.

Afternoon (noonish to 3ish) 5th gaming slot, more bbq lunch, contest to create best stats, skills and PrCs for puggy.

late afternoon (3ish to 6ish) 6th gaming slot, discussion of how it went, rescreening The Gamers with the audio comentary by Monte Cook, additional grocery runs as we run out of chips.

Evening (6ish till KB starts kicking everyone out) 7th gaming slot, more xbox, foisting of leftovers, subtle hints that some of us have to work tommorrow, finally Kahuna Burger plays Leonard Nimoy's "Bilbo Baggins" song on a continual loop until the last guests agree to go.

At least thats one possible schedule. ;)

:(

Can't do it. I will unfortunately be acting as if I am having fun at the Cape (when I could be gaming).

: wonders if he can find some icosahedron-shaped beach glass :

Missing Masters, eh? Cool!

If you want to add any Awakened animals (perhaps some former animal companions?), I'll offer to work out the Level Adjustment for you over at the Awakened Animal thread.

thanks for the offer. I've actually run that session several times already and have been slowly tweaking the pregenned characters into a semblance of balance within the challanges they face. The reincarnated badger (former half orc barbarian) was horribly overpowered the first time, and remains a smiting favorite. There is an awakened bat druid and a mindswitched psychic warrior cat as well. Plus others without character classes (familiars and two paladin mounts). Its a work in progress even after all the runthroughs, but the balance issues have never seemed to effect player enjoyment.

So, let's see how that plays out with my schedule:

Saturday (all day): Play with kids, keep wife happy so that key will still work upon return home on Sunday evening.

Sunday (5:30am) alarm goes off like a work day

(6:06 am) snooze alarm one last time, just like a work day

(6:15 am) get up and plan on leaving by 7:30 to get to Attleboro by 9ish

(8:00 am) leave house later than expected, just like a work day (Stop at Dunkin' on the way to gain special gaming consideration).

(9ish) after driving like a madman (and for once not having to worry about traffic) arrive at KahunaCon - roust unconscious hosts with loud banging on door and promises of donuts.

(9ish - later afternoon) enjoy day of gaming, food, and drink.

(6 pm-ish) Start to wonder how long wife will tolerate being out, fill up for ride home and depart before complete lack of hand-eye coordination is exposed by playing Xbox - request CD burned copy of Leonard Nimoy's "Bilbo Baggins" to play in car repeatedly so I can share the pain.

Yep, that works for me.

There is an awakened bat druid [...]
Heh, figures you'd have to pick a tricky one! ;)

Tiny or smaller awakened animals are a pain to estimate LA, because they're so unbalanced (not in an "overpowered" sense, just in an "out of balance" sense). Typically large stat bonuses and penalties, almost no melee capabilities (that damn 0ft reach!), etc.

For the awakened bat, I'd probably put it a +0 LA (or less, depending on how you feel about negative LA's, and how you think Strength 1 and no hands weighs against flight and blindsense.

Stat-wise, you'd get a 2d8 (9hp) critter with Str -10 (!), Dex +4, Wis +4, Cha -4. It'll have Blindsense, low-light vision and darkvision 60' (heh! :) ), and can only carry 1.5 lb in flight (just enough for a single flask of alchemist's fire ;) ).

Of course, none of that makes a damn bit of difference, as long as the players are having fun anyway... :D
