going head-to-head with Tsunami

Define head to head, are we talking counter actor pimpsmacking high lords, or Kagato thinking he could acually do something to the tsunami ship because he had no idea it was a super cosmic?

It's been a while since I read the manga, so I'm working off of imperfect memories. Miitsu encounters Tsunami, who apologizes for the fact that they have to fight, but that they're naturally in direct opposition. Tsunami takes ship form and attacks with a LHW, and Miitsu actually goes through it, consuming it for herself (IIRC, it took some damage doing so; Miitsu was definitely hurting later when Aeka came upon the battle).

She was abducted by pirates and experimented on to artificially increase her powers/abilities/intelligence. It worked too well, and she killed her captors and escaped.

To convey how i am tired of hearing how much everyone thinks Tenchi sucks and how little they think of it and it's characters. I don't consider myself an expect as i've only seen the films and read faqs, but that doesn't mean i take kindly to people insulting it.


Considering you and me seem to be the only ones who even know who Tenchi is it's not a real debate nor an exchange of ideas.

YEah, once again, you show only complete ignorance of anyone other than yourself. First off, I never said anything about hating Tenchi. I actually bought the whole collection and have them on DVD. The Tenchi Universe is anything but suckage.

Your attitude and assumptions as to my particular nature, however, do suck. You walk into arguments without reading both sides, haphazardly act as judge an jury regarding everyone and you really don't know any of us at all.

To insult people when you actually know what your talking about is one thing. But to bust into a forum, open a riotous debate, then get all upset when you don't like peoples responses, is not only ridiculous, it's quite insane.

And as far as Krusty is concerned, he's a big boy, he doesn't need you to hold his hand, he handles himself quite nicely. I've even banned myself at times when I've annoyed him. Mostly out of respect, partly because I figure...maybe I just need to take some time to relax and rethink my perspective on some things. It's called growing up...perhaps you should try it sometime.

Everyone on this forum has annoyed everyone at some point or another, that's what happens when you have such an eclectic group of people. Each of us has at some point or another contributed an interesting idea or two. You can't expect people to get along all the time. So either get with the program or go back under your rock.

Huh, well now those pesky pirates again. Why did Tsunami become her ship form though? It's obviously not her best form. Also i presume she killed the mutant? Also did the mutant get off some good hits or was Tsunami just being nice not flatening it the first couple of seconds.

That aside, the points you mentioned about LHW's going down seem to directly be ship wings. Which on a whole are much weaker than the wings of anomalies like Z and Tenchi and the Chousin. The real question is not how many things can bust a ship wing, but how many can crack the real deal. Those are the wings that matter? I doubt a planet sized generator is going to match Tenchi or even Z's wings.


Also Alzrius i'd like to apologize to you for overreacting, it's just on the board i'am at everyone seems to hate Tenchi of which i defend way more then i should have to, so anyone who speaks even slightly ill of it instantly puts me in kill mode. I just got to remember not eveyone hates Tenchi on the web, just 90% of them.

Possibly too many variables to give an unbreakable figure.

Certainly you would need to be at least a demigod because you will need Legendary Strength.

A Fighter 36 Demigod putting all their feats into Legendary strength and having an Epic Belt of Strength might do it.

Base 18
+42 Strength from Demigod abilities (all others converted 2:1 and added to strength)
+9 Ability Increases every 4 levels
+13 Epic Feats
Total 82 x2 for Legendary Strength = 164
+32 Belt of Strength
Final Tally = 196

That seems to suggest that the minimum is probably Lesser God. Unless I am missing something?

Seems fair enough. Wait, do Strength bonuses from items count towards base damage increases? I know the Bestiary states that muscle density doesn't increase with items that increase Strength, but it doesn't make it clear how Virtual Size categories apply to them.

For example, if someone with 10 Strength were to wear a Belt of Epic Strength +30, would his unarmed attacks deal 1d4+15 damage or 1d8+15 damage? Would he be able to wield a greatsword made of 1/32,768th orichalcum for 4d6+22 damage, or would he be stuck with an iron greatsword for 2d6+22 damage? Most importantly, would he gain +2 Virtual Size Categories from wearing the belt?

Yes, you can use wishes to change them.

So Wishes would let a Druid give up his Wild Shape ability for more feats, or a Monk give up his Slow Fall for extra feats?

To be honest, only the last 11 episodes of the 27-episode series were high-cosmic-level. The entirety of the series is all about "being awesome", evolving your DNA through sheer force of will, and using enormous cosmic drills tear your enemies asunder ("My drill is the drill that pierces the heavens!"). Hell, even the reasoning for the drill being the central theme of the show was that a drill moves forward with a revolution each second, symbolizing the progress and future of mankind.

The show takes the most classic and cliched tropes of anime, such as the ubiquitous "winning through the power of friendship and unity", and makes them fun again. It's much more enjoyable if you just sit back and watch the show to get pumped up, instead of looking for anything deep or profound. Kind of like watching B-movies for the fun of it.

The title of the show is "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann", and it had its run in Japan from April 1 to September 30 of this year.

You mean time lords can throw galaxies like shurikens and the like? Nah, I already know that you've got a planned illustration of a Time Lord with a spiral galaxy as a shield fighting another Time Lord wielding a cat o' nine tails of cosmic strings. I can't think of that many on-hand right now, sorry. Some of them involve cosmic-level themes and characters, but not that much fighting. Majority of shounen anime ("shounen" is an anime genre that involves lots and lots of fighting) involves characters of the deity-level spectrum, with not that much sidereal-level combatants.

But chances are the immortals battling such a creature will already know what terms will need to be taken to ultimately destroy it. Otherwise what they'll seek to do is imprison the defeated ghost-immortal.

Also, doesn't the ability to survive destruction of your manifestation on your home plane imply a level of power far greater than a normal divine ability, since you essentially gain Cosmic String until someone finds you phylactery?

Not necessarily. Its going to be near impossible hiding that phylactery or hiding your method of ultimate release (ghost-immortal) from a deterimined immortal or group of immortals.

I remember when Thrin defeated Druaga and chased his spirit back to Hell to kill him permanently, Druaga had a hidden reincarnating body (a bit like a phylactery) that Thrin could not find and you needed to trump Druaga with divination portfolios (or similar). Fortunately Odin has the all-seeing throne and it was deemed an appreciable substitute. So Thrin was able to find the reincarnated Druaga and slay him before he could fully mature.
