OOC: I can't seem to back this up w/ the SRD, but I thought I remembered that you can make one attack (like the bite) and then continue with the full attack if necessary or take an MEA. Was that just a house rule I got used to somewhere? If not, Maod will do that here - if the bite drops the tree, then he'll take an MEA.

A man-sized, albeit grossly obese, creature with large bat-wings and slimy, green, leathery skin appears at 110N60E. Maod notices Mills Darden's stench just before a bank of thick acidic fog appears, centered at 85N60E.

OOC: Hmm. I don't suppose I'm in tail-slap range as an AoO, if that isn't defensive, am I? I don't have my draconomicon handy for those expanded ranges. On the other claw, switching that to a defensive SLA if I am in range is fine with me too.

Round 196: Maod ignores the stench (30 Fort save), but is enveloped in fog and takes 6 points of damage from its acidic vapors.

Unfortunately, the tree also left a legacy for Maod. The wounds from its tendrils continue to bleed, causing an additional 6 points of damage.

Maod has 256 hp and starts round 197.

Maod winces, more from the concern of the bleeding than its actual pain, and turns and flies away.

OOC: Ah, I just realized why my position was off - I didn't change my chart from when the tree pulled Maod as part of the grapple.

Once Maod starts flying, he realizes that his speed in the thick fog is only 5 feet. In which direction does he start his movement?

If Mills survives the lightning, he will try to call two of his buddies that look very similar to him. If they appear, Billy Leon McCrary will appear at 90N50E and his brother Benny Loyd will appear at 90N70E.

They will each try to scare Maod out of the arena, in addition to bringing some more stench into the arena.

Mills doesn't dodge (20 Ref save) and takes 65 lightning damage. He has 32 hp left after surviving the massive damage (24 Fort save).

Maod manages to move only 5 feet due to the solidly thick vapors of the fog.

No one shows up.

Maod takes another 8 acid and 6 bleeding. He has 242 hp left and starts round 198.

OOC: I just want to confirm that Maod had no trouble moving through the very thick fog. Does he have freedom of movement? Also, does Mills survive the massive damage?
