A large creature that is 12 feet tall appears at 100N70E. Vlad has an upright humanoid body with a massive, tooth-filled mouth in an eyeless, carapace covered head, four clawed arms, and two short legs. It has a black exoskeleton and is very muscular, with an almost regal - but still feral - bearing.

It tries to bite Maod.

Vlad's bite hits (rolled 33). It inflicts 26-15 damage, but Maod resists the saliva (natural 20 Fort save).

Maod bleeds 6 more and has 122 hp left in round 208.

Maod blasts Vlad with lightning breath, and slides away into the water, still cursing that tree that left these wounds that will not close.

Round 208: Vlad doesn't dodge the lightning (24 Ref save) and takes 52-10. It is shaken by the power of the breath (22 Will save) and has 129 hp left.

Maod bleeds for 6 and starts round 209 with 116 hp.

Round 211: Maod comes out of the water from the west and moves to 100N55E.

Vlad takes a readied bite and AoO bite. Both attacks miss. (rolled 34-2 & 30-2)

Maod tries to bull rush Vlad, but is rebuffed (23 vs. 25-2 Str check).
