Oeric starts round 289 with 34 hp.

Oeric turns in place, wheeling, then rises high over the roof of the victory zone with further wigbeats, while roaringly singing to himself as he fires himelf up for the final clash of arms.

The swarm of locusts will quickly fly up to 100N75E75Z and then bite Oeric with a whole bunch of fine bites.

CCR lets loose something from Green River this time, another swarm of locusts. Swarm 2 flies up to 95N80E. CCR then moves down on the corner to 105N40E.

Gansk[sblock]As far as I can tell from the DR section in the DMG, DR does not protect Oeric from the locusts' energy drain.[/sblock]
 

Round 289: CCR heals to 65 hp while the swarm surrounds Oeric.

The swarm does no bite damage to Oeric, but they still drain a level from him.

Oeric goes down to 29 hp while the swarm gains 5 temp hp up to 97 hp.

Oeric starts round 290 with 31 hp.
 

OOC: Won't that move CCR thru the last remaining wall of blades?

Oeric curls over the top of the VZ, losing altitute rapidly until he sets down at 55n55e0z, looking about for CCR and then blasting him with a breath of sound.
 

Oops. Yes, it will. CCR hopes that his SR will kick in, or that Gansk will allow CCR to change the move to 105N45E. Presumably CCR is more observant than I am.
 

OOC: I've made plenty of mistakes like that, so my vote is to go with the altered location. And either way Oeric's move is about the same.
 

CCR is at 105N45E. He barely dodges again (9 Ref save) and takes 67-15. He has 13 hp.

CCR heals to 21 hp and takes his turn in round 290.

If Oeric survives to next round, presumably he'll have two swarms on him, so MEA back enough to catch both them and CCR in a breath-cone and go out loud and sonic.

Yes, victory for Oeric might be just up around the bend, but CCR is still here. CCR adds another member to his traveling band, exuding yet another swarm of locusts. Swarm 3 zips over to 60N55E.
Swarm 2 was supposed to be at 95N80E40Z. I forgot to write in the Z portion, but that was the intent. It turns out it would have been better to stay on the ground, but locusts are not the best tacticians. Swarm 2 flies down to 65N80E20Z.
Swarm 1 flies down to 60N70E20Z.
