NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

OOC: Heck, I won't be surprised if it's a simul-kill, with Oeric killing CCR and the swarms killing Oeric. Then we'll get to actually see an initiative roll in the BoAA, which would be cool. :)

Round 290: Swarm 3 inflicts no damage, but drains a level. Oeric drops to 26 hp while the swarm gains 5 temp hp and goes to 98 hp.

Round 291: Oeric heals to 28 hp and moves to 45N50E. He breathes another sonic cone, blasting CCR and S3.

Neither one dodges the blast. S3 takes 63+31 and has 4 hp left. CCR takes 63-15 and is destroyed.

Oeric:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 293.[/sblock]

Next for NE in round 291: a tunnel terror. (FF)

CCR's last thought is that someday he will get even with Oeric. Unfortunately for CCR, someday never comes.

OOC: Negative levels make effective character lower when level matters, like susceptibility to sleep or for casting spells. If a monster does not have class levels, would negative levels make effective hit dice lower? If so, the DC against Oeric's breath would be going down.

A huge stony worm that has been hollowed out appears at 105N55E and concentrates.[sblock]bull's strength[/sblock]Swarm 1 flies to 50N55E.
Swarm 2 flies to 45N65E.
Swarm 3 flies to 55N50E.

OK, those FF creatures should be making their Ref save against that plummeting DC any minute now. ;)

Swarm 2 doesn't seem to be attacking Oeric.

Oeric is drained 10 (or 15) hp and has 18 (or 13) hp left.

Oeric heals to 20 (or 15) hp and starts round 292.

Swarm 2 is not attacking Oeric because[sblock]it could not run through Swarm 1 and did not have enough movement to get around Swarm 1. Swarm 1, with no Intelligence, had no reason to give Swarm 2 room to attack.[/sblock]Oeric heals to 20 HP.

OOC: Interesting question on negative levels. I could see an analogy to dropping an age category, but that would mean that negative levels would be *devastating* to dragons.

Oeric launches himself into the sky, desperately trying to get away from the swarms, pushing his powerful wings more than any dragon has previously in this arena.

Double-MEA to: 95n10e100z

OOC: I gotta say that when I first saw the maneuverability feats listed for Oeric, I wished I had Power Attack and the like instead, but it has been cool to do stuff like this.

OOC: Gansk, did you check to see if the blade barrier disappeared?

The stony worm concentrates again.[sblock]cat's grace[/sblock]Swarm 1 flies to 90N15E80Z.
Swarm 2 flies to 95N25E80Z.
Swarm 3 flies to 100N15E80Z.

Greybar, you can post your next move. The stony worm's action does not have to be moderated.

Oeric cranes his neck back and blasts all of the swarms with a sonic breath, then swoops over the roof of the victory zone, losing altitude and ending up at 50n90e50z.

OOC: Oops, the wall of blades disappears (39 CL check).

Round 293: Oeric heals to 22 hp and blasts the swarms.

None of the swarms dodge (highest Ref save 22).

All the swarms take 68+34. They are all dissipated.

Oeric:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 297.[/sblock]

Stonyworm thought the locusts were too noisy, anyway.

Stonyworm ponders.[sblock]Stonyworm will ready a wall of stonefor when Oeric tries to enter the Victory Zone. It will either jut out from the north wall or up from the stone floor if Oeric does not try to enter from above the water.[/sblock]It is Oeric's turn.
