Thanks -- I make mine on bing.com (there's a thread here on enworld about using dall-e). I find it helpful, though I am conscious of the ethical issues in using ai art for publication/profit.

I just googled image generator and played with the prompt till I had something I liked. If you run out of credits, just change image generators ;-)

Same-ish as @Kobold Stew ... I used to try and find an image and, when possible, give credit to the creator of the image. But that doesn't pay them either. I use commercial artists for commercial work (anything for my actual work), but I started playing with AI generators to make Shamal and Caer Droea. I think that deepai was the one used for Caer? It's fairly limited (you can't refine an image) but I liked the quality once I got the prompt right.

I decided to play a version of the Cloud Genasi Marshal (as a Paladin) that I came up with as an NPC in one of my games. He's in the RG now. (Though I couldn't get the art to make his skin slightly blue, nor his hair to go quite as cloudy looking as I'd like). He's also got little lower tusks, like cloud giants do.
